Obama will speak at the University of Miami and put lip stick on a pig......
    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/obama-address-gas-prices-pitch-080421443.html

First he's basically taking credit for rising oil & production but
It's Bush policy, not Obama's that made it possible. In fact, Obama has done his best to burden oil and natural gas production.

Add to that he's actually taking credit for reduced consumption which is largely due to the fact people can't afford to drive!

Well I have no problem giving him the credit he deserves and will all the way to the election in Nov.

And Obama is on record praising the idea of more expensive energy as a way to force Americans to accept alternative energy.

Now those words are coming back the haunt him.

Sure he is proud. He stated his goal was soaring energy prices.... which by the way necessarily drop our standard of living and competitiveness.

He accomplished it! Way to screw America Barack.

Ok so I need t I get this straight … in the 55 Months that President Obama has beed in office … he’s the cause of rising Gas Prices.

But in 96 Months President Bush was in office, and the start of 2 Wars, he was not responsible for Rising Gas Prices … it was the Speculators and Supply Demand .. and Bla Bla Bla

Got it … carry on

    1) Obama is in office. As a thinking human being you are able to be critical of Obama without screaming Bush's name

    2) Could you show us Bush saying we needed higher energy costs? If not what does Bush or any previous President have to do with Obama.

The liberals have been blaming Bush for the rising gas prices for 151 months (96 + 55) now and counting. They do not even feel that their presidential pick is capable enough, after over 3 years in office, to be responsible for what they were blaming Bush for since the beginning of his first term.

Nah, not while Obama's in office. We won't have oil co's called up to capital hill to get grilled by such geniouses like Maxine Waters either. The new spin is wink, yawn and just say "we really, really feel your pain, but we can't really do anything about it"...next question please.

I didn't know FOX News was necessary to do basic math.

If Obama has been in office 55 months like you claim, that's over 4 and a half years. Is that right?

    That's how it works, no?

There is something he did that is ONE of the numerous causes of the higher oil prices: Sanctions against Iran. That led to both less oil on the market and speculation. Other than that, he has the same effect on oil prices that Bush did: Next to none.

My bad ... I meant campaigning also ...

So he's been in office 37 months (full) months not counting the days and hours and seconds.

So ... does The President of The US control Oil Speculation?

If so ... did George Bush control that same Oil Speculation?

Or is it a Black thang

Get a grip. Him, democrat's in general and all his frikkin greenie friends have been instrumental in the destabilization of US oil supplies for YEARS and we are reaping the results.

Nope. And I wasn't taking a pro or anti-sanctions stance. Just stating the economic reality. Iran produces oil. They cannot sell most of it. That lowers supply and increases speculation, which causes prices to rise. That's not the only thing that is driving the higher oil prices, it is just one of the factors. But it is one he directly controls.

No you didn't. You were just wrong.

Obama tried to control oil speculation

We have Pelosi and other leftists blaming Bush (I bet you did too, back in those days) for oil prices because "oil men" were "in the White House". Now they suddenly say don't blame the President? Can't you guys keep your stories straight, or is blatant hypocrisy the name of the game?

Do you always play the race card when you embarrass yourself?
