Why not perfect catalyst technology to turn CO2 Into short chain hydrocarbons that can be turned back into CO2 and water with combustion engines?

Because you argued about solar energy and I argued about it back. Not said it is the only way, not said it is the, like, future of whole humanity forever - I said it is one of most promissing technoogies at the moment. One of. Stop trying to act as if I am somehow denying other options.

That's fine in theory, but it doesn't do anything about the excess carbon already in circulation.

Nice! And that's even with all the tree cover! Beautiful place.

Yeah, nice day, and it actually took them a while to approve the site due to all the trees. But there's really not all that much blocking the Sun most of the day. Plus solar just continues getting cheaper and better.

LOL, and Bolivia and Venezuela should be at least as wealthy as Norway, no man, wealth generates not by resources but by people , well organized in the well functioned state. Canada got the most effective in the world - English colonial administration(plain), and added to it the plain democracy . Muscovy is not just a product of ulus of juchi, its the same Mongolian state - ruled by a man- God (czar) where he is law, wealth , politic as it was in 13, or 17 c (read what GDL writers wrote about Muscovy in 17c) . Muscovite empire much French, British one, belongs to 19c, beginning of 20c but not to 21c. and any NEW czar (let say Kosparov) in 2 years will become a new Putler with his thugs .

It gets turned into sugars, like is has since plants showed up on earth and blue green algae first swam in the oceans.

Creating hydrocarbons out of CO2 and splitting their bonds in a combustion engine creates no new CO2. The carbon gets recycled

You jumped into a conversation between me and a poster who hailed the superior efficiency of powering the world's motorized vehicles with electricity derived from photovoltaic cells

Yes, but from the start I took position in the middle. Technology yet is far from perfect - but posesses big potential. I am glad, that we solved our misunderstanding, never the less.

Hope no offence taken, if I somehow sounded harsh.

great news for suffered people of all gas - station states:

Venezuela Unrest Death Toll Rises, Chavez Statue Destroyed

And in an incident loaded with symbolism, a handful of young men destroyed a statue of late leader Hugo Chavez in the oil-producing Zulia state, according to videos circulating on social media on Friday evening."

Right. Except didn't you begin by talking about needing a catalyst - any problems with that?
Right. Except "combustion engine" indicates cans of well known worms.
Right. Except CO2 is a greenhouse gas. So you capture and semi-sequester it only to burn it, releasing it right back into the atmosphere, where it can help trap that waste heat you've produced in your combustion process, all the better to warm the globe.

Then it gets concerted back to hydrocarbons and is taken back out. In the meantime existing CO2 is taken up by plants and converted into sugars. Perhaps you didn't know, enzymes are catalysts. ENZYMES ARE PROTEINS NOT DERIVED FROM THE MOST POLLUTED PLACES ON EARTH.

I did know, but thanks for not asking. You sound angry. Have I made you think too hard?

As CO2 shall continue being taken up and bottled by welding gas suppliers. No doubt more distractions to follow. I got the picture the first time. You're here to recommend we do essentially nothing. Sorry, no shock to me and no sale.

For me it looked more like he just criticises overzealous devotion to green energy. Don't be so antagonising to each other, making collocutor angry is not a valid victory in the argument.

Yes, ever tried driving in London? Utterly pointless, unless you enjoy sitting in traffic 'moving' at 4 mph. I never owned a car; public transport here is so good and generally frequent and reliable that I see no point.

I recommended creating fuel out of CO2 already in the atmosphere, which means less CO2 emissions from the burning of fossil fuels.
This leads to lower atmospheric CO2 levels as CO2 is constantly taken up from the atmosphere.
Is this difficult for you ?

Maybe you are ignorant as to how the planet works, but I will explain.
Every single molecule of oxygen that we breath, and every single calorie of energy that our bodies utilize comes from the the transforming of atmospheric CO2 into oxygen and glucose in the cells of plants.

your solar powered house does nothing about CO2 already in the atmosphere, in case you didn't notice.

    none taken.
All forms of energy production are good to explore.
The ultimate form of energy in our solar system is Fusion which produces the light energy that gets converted into sugars and oxygen by a photosynthetic process.

Just in time to be offset by Trump's proposed Gas tax, to help pay for infrastructure.... Or TP for Mar-a.

I did, and thanks once again for not asking. So solar panels suck compared to burning coal and letting the flora handle it? Is that your point? What is your point? I've managed to ask you several things now in multiple posts without presuming to tell you anything. Still waiting for one intelligent response... What solution to what problem are you proposing?

Disagree. Victory implies a judge and a contest. We're just sharing and challenging ideas. Trying to increase general understanding. Keeping brains stimulated. It's all good. boss. Besides, I have a reputation to protect :icon_yoda:
