I saw "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" this morning at the IMAX 3D. This movie is not only really good but EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. I give this movie an A+. Episode VII is a family reunion with Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker, however, there are new characters such as Rey, Finn, and Poe who continue to further the saga.

The score by John Williams returns in all its glory and finally the lighted saber swords get their proper treatment in 3D and I like how they projected out of the screen.

A tense scene for me involved this hideous creature that invades the Falcon spaceship and this monster has tentacles with a gruesome face and giant teeth, and this creature rapidly attacks and can chomp to death several people in a matter of seconds.

The special effects are amazing and the cinematography is breathtaking.

So, if you have seen this movie, what is your opinion?

Does Jar Jar get eaten by the creature?

No such luck! Jar Jar Binks doesn't even show his face in the movie.

I started another thread join the wrong place!

That said, I saw it Saturday- fantastic. Star Wars is back to being good again. We can now erase the stench of the last three from our minds.

I saw it today. It was good, but not great. Maybe it will grow on me over time.

What is it with Star Wars? I just don't get why people think this franchise is so fantastic...

I have a habit of falling asleep at Star War movies. I learned my lesson after the first two times I wasted my money. I won't even watch the old ones on TV. Pure hype.

Yea, I could never make it through a Star Wars movie.... I tried many times - it just doesn't appeal to me.....

I like the old Star Trek movies tho - those movies have some humor...

The only thing fantastic is that any "Star Wars" movie generates big box office grosses. In my opinion, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is an excellent movie but there are Star Wars fans out there that are fanatical about the whole franchise and will even dress up as their favorite character when they attend a Star Wars movie.

I was a extra in one... Well it wasn't a Star Wars movie it was a movie about Star Wars...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-25-77

They guy who directed the new (*)(*)(*)(*)ty "Vacation" movie starred in it...

I don't think 5-25-77 was ever released, but from what I know it's about a bunch of Star Wars geeks lol... I was just an extra, hey they gave me 20 bucks lol..

Actually I didn't want to lol... My GF at the time made me because her sister was in it and I was just giving her a ride to where they were filming and they wanted extras and my GF got pumped about it... I actually had to go to work and missed a couple hours of work because of it lol... I remember my boss was pissed and they called me "movie star" for about a week because I told them I had to be in a movie lol... The best part is they thought I was doing a porn.. Hahahaha ...

I thought they were making some sort of student film so I had no desire, but they offered me 20 bucks and lunch so I was down lol...

I saw the trailer on youtube - doesn't look like anything that I would watch but..
