So, my previous laptop of 7+(?) years is no longer working. I bought a new one and unfortunately, it came with 8.1 - the worst OS I've used; and I've used Vista. I went to download a game I had previously downloaded on my previous laptop (XP), and found I can't actually just open downloads anymore. Obviously, I'm not a tech guru, but I've never had the difficulties I'm now experiencing. Has anyone else had this problem for 8.1? Also, when I click an 'app' and switch to desktop, there this extremely annoying tendency for my desktop view to randomly switch to the other app I have open.
