I'm sorry, but using your example I don't see how gay marriage devalues hetero marriage the same way that counterfeit devalues legitimate currency. Or are you referring to the inflation that occurs - but what does that have to do with marriage. I suppose your example is a flip response, but it didn't answer my initial questions and I don't see the parallel.

 

If you accept any kind of union as a marriage it automatically devalues actual marriages.

 

Gay consumers have the perfect right to boycott this franchise because of the personal views of its owner but those views break no laws and are protected by the first amendment. The person who professes them does not refuse to serve gay patrons or condone violence of gays. He expresses his religious views which are insulting to gays and offensive to gays or people like me who support gays but its his right.

I do not speak for gays. I would openly challenge the founder of the franchise if asked but its not breaking any laws at this time.

If the owners of the Chick-fil-A bought the property on where they want to put their restaurants, It's their right to do so. I don't see any problem with that.

 

If "supporting traditional marriage" means opposing same-sex marriage, you are opposing the LGBT folks.

We do not care what you support. Call same sex marriages illegitimate then we challenge you calling same sex marriages illegitimate. Why do you not ask us instead of telling us what we think.

I don't care what their sexual alignment is, the fact is they're trying to use political power to shut down chicken joints.

If you don't like a company's values or actions, don't patronize them.

There is a very angry subset in the community who feelz like they can dictate corporate behaviors to satisfy their pejorative agenda. Most of the rest of us enjoy the Chic, and couldn't care less what the corp does, or doesn't do to support the community. Funny thing is, that most of the most historical of this group are the least tolerant, and frankly demand that only their views are respected. It's pretty pathetic.
