provisions in the 14th Amendment to the Constitution allows preventing former Presidents from holding future federal office. Ratified in 1868 after the Civil War, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment states that "no person shall be a senator or representative in Congress" or "hold any office, civil or military" if they, after having taken an oath to support the Constitution, "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof." https://www.yahoo.com/news/obscure-constitutional-provision-hangs-over-110400456.html The disqualification provision was meant to keep former Confederate officers and officials from holding public office again unless they received permission from Congress to do so. It has seldom been invoked over the last 150 years, and never against a President. that must change and it doesn't seem to be stoppable.
But this country in under the control of the Democratic party, so the Constitution is now more of a rough set of guidelines that can be ignored if convenient. (Think 2nd amendment)
There was no insurrection or rebellion against the constitution of the US. There was no elected official who participated or incited the civil disobedience at the capitol.
Often people are arrested when they are caught participating in acts of civil disobedience. Especially when they involve acts of vandalism, theft and violent assaults upon other people. This isn’t unusual.
most of these trumpets will see heavy sentences imposed, none captured have futures worth a damn. all for hate.
“trumpets”. Lol. A liberal criticizing someone for being all for hate is akin to Keith Richards criticizing someone else for being a substance abuser.
why shouldn't we hate on obsessed haters? if they'd just play nice ...guess what? we've always wished to get along until it went nuts.
Who’s “we”? The only thing the left wants is mind numbed agreement. No dissent, opposition or discussion. Just shut up and go along.
if they don't want to go along with the fun then they'll have things to really cry about, that's how you discipline bratty troublemakers
