It's a simple question, isn't it? It's kinda like step #1 in any sensible analysis.

    Who broke it?

    1. Illegal Aliens.

    Co-conspirators:

    1. Filthy pols that won't enforce existing law.

    2. Business that funds these filthy pols.

    3. Useful Idiots the vote in the filthy pols.

    4. Every craphole country south of here.

    Thoughts?

Who broke it? The same people who broke everything else in US politics; the americans.

Both parties put in hard work and dedication to accomplish a goal that required diligence and quite impressive corruption to reach.

One side will want to blame the other, but in the end this is something that everyone can take credit for together. Of course, everyone also insists that the other guys, and only ever the other guys, fix it.

    It's a miracle I haven't become a cynic!

so our immigration system is considered broken simply because it isn't easy as pie to become an american? why on earth should it be easy. the open borders crowd is living in a past where america lead in industry and opportunity, but those days are come and gone. the industry has been driven away by glad handing political animals, too busy giving away free stuff to understand that someone else still has to pay for it. the opportunity has been undermined by a federal government too busy enriching and empowering itself to care that the rights of its citizens diminish with each new regulation they enact. and all of it is enabled by a citizenry too caught up in the idea of "the american dream" to have figured out that that dream is not the something for nothing their representatives promise.
