Owner says 'Sanctuary restaurant' in Oakland vandalized with human waste

An Oakland restaurant that serves Middle Eastern food and caters to illegal aliens is vandalized with excrement (poop), and its owner, who is an Israeli jew, starts to cry:

1. Do you think that this vandalism was politically motivated?

2. What do you think about the fact that this jewish-owned food joint caters to illegal aliens?

Well, we don't really know that, Tom, but which is worse: that this restaurant caters to illegal aliens who rape, rob and murder Americans, or that somebody threw poop at one of its windows? Honestly, I think it's the former (although I certainly don't condone vandalism).

I think man showed his kindness and committed an act of charity, and some people took it for weakness. I think these people deserve to be found and bear whatever punishment there is for vandalism of property.

And before you start arguing - at very least they violated law, and committed a crime - even if a petty one.


As for migrants - when one commits crime he/she bears punishment, rest have nothing to do with that. Don't hold yourself back on guilty, but don't go rough on innocent for no reson.

It goes for all people.

Difficult to say. Most politically motivated activities in that area are from the left. There is a homeless population around the area, though Piedmont Ave is an upscale street.

You mean, they choose to associate with all humans regardless of whether they carry a government permission slip? Sounds good to me.

 

What's a "sanctuary restaurant" anyway? Totally meaningless slogan. It's not like the food industry is prohibited from selling food to illegals or required to check green cards and report Mexicans to the INS...

The moron owner wanted to milk the political situation for PR purposes and got more than he bargained for. Boohoo.

 

Well, in that case I suppose he ends up bearing the punishment. Plus I am fairly sure there are articles about fabricating cases like that - doubt there exists a state that approves citizens abusing resources of police for sake of "black PR".


...and that moment it hits me that English probably does not have such expression. So, more proper translation would probably be "black advertising", as in deliberately getting known through scandal, on principle "bad fame is better than no fame at all".


Regardless, responsible should be found and bear punishment with no holding back. As I said, law applies to all.
