Pakistan warns U.S. of "disastrous consequences" for any more bin Laden-style raids

The Pakistani government should be apologizing. It should be groveling. It should be undertaking a massive internal reform to sweep out the jihad sympathizers. It should be opening its doors to American military personnel, acknowledging that it is infiltrated and compromised and offering to do whatever it takes to reverse that. After all, Pakistan is a country on the dole. They're getting billions from the U.S. every year to fight jihad terrorism. They should be doing everything they can right now to repair the damage done by the revelation that they were sheltering Osama bin Laden for years. But instead, we're getting threats and Islamic supremacist arrogance. Congress should cut all aid -- all aid to Pakistan today, present the Pakistani government with a bill for all the aid given to it since 9/11, and cease to consider Pakistan an ally.

Pakistan is a mess.. On one hand its modern and on another its midievel..

Its fractured and backward.. the government is against the ISI and vice versa.

OBL was a crud.. He killed thousands of Muslims as well as Americans.. He never did anything to make the Arab world better. He made things worse and reduced some areas to a shambles.

With all his money he never built a school or a clinic.

His own children were isolated and ignorant and living in that squalid excuse for a compound.

The Arabs should hate him.. and most do.

No, I dissagree with that part also: it should cut all aid to Pakistan YESTERDAY. today if we had government it would prosecute those who got any money from US tax payers

 

The main trouble is Pakistan and many other countries are so two faced, cutting off aid would be another reason for an Islamic Jihad against us. It's not so much U.S. intervention, it's the warring nature of mankind. We just happen to be the scapegoat du jour.

 

I don't believe this media theory - we cut off the aid, any farting our military can still beat them very effectively every time HOW COME ISRAEL IS NOT GIVING ANYONE AID and yet they are still tolerated by them? basicaly what you are saying is they get our money with scare tactics because we fear them, the similar reason one may give money to a homeless man not out of sympathy but out of fear that he would not rob... this does not describe home of the brave and land of the brave which America is/was.

 

tell Pakistan we got who we wanted and we care no more to step foot on their pile of (*)(*)(*)(*) country. they can go back to killing their wives for showing their faces now.

You misunderstood my meaning. I do feel cutting off aid is something we shoul have done long ago. I still feel it is the right choice. But these people will be mad regardless. They're tryng to return their country to a time when men ruled and women were beaten if they didn't do as told. BTW I believe Israel is recieving aid from the U.S.
I'm trying to be realistic here. We have painted ourselves into an oil corner. This area is full of hate and has been since before the birth of Christ. We just want oil. But we can't get it without being involved with their religious/political garbage.

I for one do not believe the majority of Pakistan are hate America. There are the small clans of Pakistan who hate anyone not Paki, just like there are small clans of Americans who hate Pakistan.

Both have gullible clans that suck up what ever the media throws at them. Some just don’t have the ability to assess information.

 

Only true if you believe the media hype spewed by news, and not by gathering more information. But I agree, the media has some balls to feed us BS.

 

It's impossible to get unbiased and really truthful news. Nothing is objective and everyone has their own respective agendas.

 

Perhaps, and backing agendas based on BS news is just wrong and causes a ripple effect of, well BS.

Most people lack the ability to gather information form many sources and evaluate on their own what is legit and what is sensationalized BS with a spin. Ever notice how after every story on Broadcast News there is a “Commentator” who sums up what has just happened. Well that commentator is giving an opinion on what they see. Also, what they say is edited by the editors. Who, allow only what they choose to be broadcasted.

I Really recommend a journalism class in college. If your lucky you get a real journalists who has several years in the business. They have a great deal of knowledge and know how News Broadcast and Advertising are one of the same.
