Yes. They should. Because the government has not been acting in accordance with the will of the people but instead at the behest of the highest bidder.

Trump denied the people when he nixed bipartisan, NRA supported laws that would deny firearm ownership to violent, domestic abusers.

Obama denied the will of the people by allowing corporate profits to interfere with the health of the people, and vastly increased the opiate epidemic, which Trump has done nothing to stop.

Both of those POTUS scum are lapdogs to corporate America putting profits before the general welfare of the people they "serve".

You are aware that the NRA has no vote nor can pass any legislature? And since they don't have an active say in the matter, complaining about them is beyond useless. Go after those Congressmen the NRA supports, but stop the daily whining about the NRA, it won't provide you the pacifier you so greatly crave.

But what they are seeking here is to allow it to go to a jury trial, and to force the gun manufacturers to open up their books, a path similar to that which made big tobacco responsible

There's a reason Ford is never sued when someone drives drunk and runs his F150 into a school bus full of kids - and it doesn't have anything to do with legislation.
Want to take a guess as to why?

The gun manufacturers don't have any votes, but they have tremendous influence over many who do have votes, they have a big say in the matter

Can you show us where firearm ownership by convicted domestic abusers is legal?

It won't matter. Federal legislation has already barred these lawsuits.

Ford doesn't design those F150's to kill, nor is the F150's purpose to kill, the same is not true for semiautomatic weapons, in their case their sole purpose is to kill as many as is possible in the shortest amount of time

    Translation:

Use the courts to grab all the guns and turn America into squat-to-pee euros or austrailians

By law, gun manufacturers are not liable if someone misuses a gun...

Only one problem with that, the guns did not malfunction. The user did. As usual, the left tries to legislate from the bench. Another reason to thank our blessings for no HRC. :worship:

This is the new liberal culture that progressives wanted

If it is turning ordinary people ino crazed killers dont blame the gun for that

    You didn't read the article I provided;

"The law does allow exceptions for sale and marketing practices that violate state or federal laws and instances of “negligent entrustment,” in which a gun is carelessly given or sold to a person posing a high risk of misusing it."

"Legal experts said negligent entrustment has been cited with some success in lawsuits against gun dealers, but the Newtown families are for the first time broadening the scope to include a weapon’s manufacturer, in this case, Remington, which, along with a wholesaler and a local retailer, are all named in the suit"

Which is why the case is drawing attention now.

And now we have the view of the conservative played by the gun manufacturers, except this time it ain't "Obama is going to confiscate all your guns" but instead, "the courts are going grab all the guns," so predictable

the only way to new gun laws is a give & take strategy:

for example: Congress passes universal CCW reciprocity (with some smart minimum standards) in exchange for universal background checks and 10-round magazine limits.

You cannot show this to be true - and thus, dies your argument.

A manufacturer is not responsible for the intentional misuse of their product by the consumer.

If it were up to me, all guns besides a revolver, a shotgun and a hunting rifle would be illegal. Limit capacity to six rounds only. All other weapons would be banned and anyone holding them today would have 6 months to turn them in. Beyond that, its a felony. But it's not up to me, it's up to the VP's of Marketing at all the gun companies.

Barred by statute. And common sense (not responsible for the crimes and torts of others )

Killing is a valid practical purpose. You ever see that photo of a lynching and there are 30 people grinning in front of two hanged men? There's your valid purpose right there, defense against that ****.

Operating a motor vehicle on public roads: privilege
Keeping and bearing arms: Individual enumerated right.

    Seeing the problem?

How can this apply to gun manufacturers, who sell their guns to wholesalers with an FFL, who then sell the guns to retailers with FFLs, who then sell the gun to the consumer after a FBI background check?

Actually its up to the citizens in their individual capacity as to whether or not they want to own a gun.
Its not any of your damn business. Statists.

You are right, the guns did not malfunction, they did exactly what the manufacturers made them to do, kill as many as possible in the shortest amount of time, consequently elementary children were massacred in a school

And end the crying over litigating issues, Obama was sued by nearly every imaginable right wing organization to include the GOP and even Republican House of Representatives

Regardless of the fact you know cannot show this to be true, you keep making this claim.
    Why?

And I do believe that is what the lawsuit is over, settling the responsibility questions

Big tobacco was in the same circumstances decades ago and we know how that worked out for them
