If he was a white Republican, the IRS would be on him like white on rice.

Seems Trump's only defense is his persecution complex.

don't you Biden supporters even wonder how this guy -who claimed to have grown up poor in Harlem-can amass a fortune like this when most of his career was in "public service". Yeah he might charge thousands of dollars an hour but the numbers just don't add up to 41 million-and that is after high taxes in NYC

well you actually have some accuracy there. my first concern is policies and judges-and the character of the politician is far less relevant. But since the Talibiden pretend to care more about character than policies, I point out that senile joe is no better than Trump in that category

I'm not (NOT) a Trump 'fan-boy', but I was curious about this whole 'hush-money' thing and so I dug into it a bit and found that 'hush-money' itself is NOT ILLEGAL! :omg: If that's true, and many different sources seem to agree with that, then exactly what is all this about? I trust Forbes as a dependably reliable information source... so....

"Trump’s ‘Hush Money’ Payment Isn’t Illegal In Itself—Here’s Why He’s Actually On Trial"

    from your article
    1. Real Estate Investments: Alvin Bragg owns several real estate assets, including a luxury townhouse in Harlem, a villa in Brooklyn, a vacation home in the Hamptons, and a rental property in Harlem [2]. He also owns commercial properties, such as a retail building in Manhattan, an office building in Queens, and a warehouse in Brooklyn [2]. The total value of his real estate assets is approximately $10 million [2].

    2. Stock Portfolio: In addition to his real estate investments, Alvin Bragg has a stock portfolio valued at approximately $15 million [2]. He has investments in various companies, including tech giants like Apple, Google, and Amazon, financial institutions like Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase, healthcare companies like UnitedHealth Group and Johnson & Johnson, and industrial companies like Boeing and Caterpillar [2]. His diversified stock portfolio has contributed to his net worth.

WHERE DID A GUY WHO SPENT MOST OF HIS Career making less than 200K a year get the sort of jack to buy all this stuff?

He’s not on trial for paying hush money.
He’s on trial for falsifying business records to pay the hush money

    I guess that’s a convenient generalization.

You try and dismiss the trial without actually discussing it.

LOL-one of my best friends at Yale is one of the top partners at Sidley and Austin. He's a former Attorney General of the USA, former head of Civil at the DOJ and has had far more years in private practice than Bragg and he's rated one of the top appellate attorneys in the country and believe me, he doesn't have 41 million dollars in net worth despite many more years as a top billing parter at one of the most lucrative firms in the USA
    from Wiki
    8 Sidley Austin $2,795,426,000 1,893 $1,477,000 $3,718,000 [IMG] US

    Profit per partner

Thank you! If that's the real charge in Trump's trial, then let the trial continue and let the "chips fall where they may". If Trump is guilty of breaking the law, he should be convicted and punished according to the law -- and certainly nothing about this could be construed to come under some 'presidential immunity' interpretation of the proceeding, either.

Of course they don't. Democrats, especially black Democrats are above the law. If Bragg gets a conviction, he'll get a free ride forever. He could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and his cult followers wouldn't care.
