House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., escalated her attacks toward President Trump and GOP lawmakers Monday, describing them as "domestic enemies" over their opposition to universal mail-in voting.

During an interview on "MSNBC Live" with anchor Ayman Mohyeldin, Pelosi slammed Trump's repeated rhetoric opposing mail-in voting and accused him of "scaring" potential voters and welcoming Russian interference in the upcoming election.

"The Russians were there and they are there now 24/7 trying to interfere in our election, but they're not the only ones," Pelosi said. "We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and our honoring of the Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States."

When President Trump declared the Media "Enemies of the people", the liberals were outraged. The media claimed such a statement put their lives in danger. The fact is that no reporters have been attacked because of this statement. But where is the liberal outrage over Speaker of the House Pelosi's statement? I know liberal outrage is selective applied. Yet the liberal propaganda media has pretty much ignored Pelosi's statement.

Pelosi states that the oath of office that they took calls for them to "support and defend the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic". The oath does require their support and defense, but Pelosi and the Democrats ignore their oath of office when it impedes their political agenda. Article Two section three of the Constitution requires the President to "take care that laws be faithfully executed". That means that the President clearly has a requirement to enforce Federal election laws. But Presidents Obama twice ignored that responsibility and the DNC have attacked GOP Presidents for following the Constitutional requirement. These were Obama Administration dropping their defense of the Defense of Marriage Act and when he passed a new law by Executive Order to justify his refusal to enforce immigration laws. DACA clearly violated the Constitutional requirement for separation of powers. The Congress have opposed the President Building the wall to enforce immigration laws, the DNC backs Sanctuary cities/states in violation of immigration laws, they have spoke out against he President deploying federal agents to protect federal building and landmarks from terrorist protestors violating federal laws. Now Pelosi is attacking the President for his defense and enforcement of US Election Laws.

So, it is Pelosi herself that is violating her oath of office with her statement. It is time for Pelosi to be called out and impeached or censured for her statement.

Well, I wouldn't go enemies of the state here, but any effort to fight mass mail-in voting during a pandemic certainly can be seen as such.

Remember the motto that Trump actually said out loud, after it being quietly recognized for decades.

This is specifically claiming that the President and the GOP lawmakers are guilty of treason. This is based on a liberal false narrative. Article 2 section 3 of the US Constitution requires the President of the United States to ensure that federal laws are faithfully executed. Mail-in votes are covered under the Absentee Voting Act. That is a federal law that the President is Constitutionally required to ensure is faithfully executed. Therefore, the President is doing his duty as specified by the US Constitution. It is funny how the DNC only cares about the US Constitution when it suites them, and Pelosi is violating her oath of office while stating otherwise.

Any member of the Congress (to include the Senate) can be impeached. From Find Law: "While the term "impeachment" typically is associated with the Commander in Chief, the Constitution clearly states who can be impeached: "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States." Since Pelosi is a "civil officer" She can be impeached. You should really research before you post.

Like most others, your post ignores the facts in favor of liberal talking points. As I have pointed out numerous times, the President has a Constitutionally mandated duty to ensure that federal laws are faithfully enforced. That includes the Absentee Act.

I stand corrected about Pelosi being a civil officer. She is actually a house officer. But I draw your attention to Senator William Blount of Tennessee. He was impeached in 1797. I know that Pelosi would not be impeached because it would that a majority of the house to pass articles of impeachment. As I pointed out, the DNC does not hold their member to the same standards as everyone else.

I would not call that a "big story in the day". Most of the stories about President Trump's statement are from extremist liberal sites like the source you provided.

I do not agree with the President on this. Most of the people being suppressed and disenfranchised by the DNC are liberals. These are people that do not know that they have to request a absentee ballot. In Virginia, first time voters can not vote by absentee ballots. Some do not have access to the internet in order to request the absentee ballot. Those that are illiterate, and those with new disabilities that alter their signatures from from when they registered. The fact that the DNC massage that in-person voting is unsafe, and failing to notify the public that they request a ballot online, is actually suppressing votes. This would impact the DNC far more the the GOP.
