I have two hypotheses for Russian irrational behavior. The first one is that it simply likes to be annoying. And the second one is that Russia tries to help China to block the most important trade route in the world.

Russia likes to act as a teenager that wants extra attention.
Putin likes to get their military get very close to American, but some day someone will make a mistake, or equipment will fail and a lot of Russians will die in that incident. Putin doesn’t give a damn - women will birth more.

I see it as an attempt to help China to block the South China Sea just for the sake of breaking the current world order.

Do you know a guy called Trump, who uses twitter for such things?

How about the entire idea that they are just willing to plow through an American ship to show who is the boss?

Was there a faulty rudder on the American guided-missile cruiser or do the Americans just like to be annoying? Oh! Oh! I know now. It's the childish Ameican "stand your ground" syndrome where the U.S. has a tantrum whenever their intimidation doesn't frighten "the other guy". So now the poor puzzies are going to "file a formal demarcate".

If they think they are going to stand side by side with the Russians (in the head master's office) and demand the Ruskies get their knuckles rapped with a ruler ..... they can forget it. I bet the Russian crew is laughing their yagoditsies off!

Next time use the rudder, you American sissies. :blownose:

It's probably the way you drive on a road, but it's not the way mentally healthy people behave.

Don’t worry, if push comes to shove Russians will die and Putin will pretend nothing happened. Just like in Syria.

I was going to say that they were testing the capabilities of one of our ships but that is one old ship so they probably already know what it can do.

It was built in 1988......I think it's time we start upgrading this stuff.

So let's see.....Putinka meets with China's Jinping, and tries to convince him he's a reliable ally, basically saying my balls as big as yours.....and I'll tango with a US Navy ship.

So like a pesky fly the vatnik tries to provoke. Face it, Russki Navy no match for US Navy.....the Russkis are lucky they didn't get shwacked in the incident.

Stick to ramming Ukrainian tugboats in the Azov Sea.....that's more your speed, someone who can't adequately fight back.

If the Yankees get "ran over" [] paddling around the sea just imagine what will happen in a war-time situation.

What exactly will happen in a "wartime" situation? Dumb video that you just showed not included?

I know what y’all are thinking ……. the American, Joan Wayne wanna-bees, were having a pick-nick on deck their little boat, playing shuffleboard, grilling hot dogs, and exchanging photos of their mommies and daddies – then suddenly out of nowhere a huge & ugly Russian sea-going war machine shows up, full steam ahead with evil in their eyes and treachery in their hearts determined to ram Seaman Recruit Bobby Brown and dispatch his pleasure-cruiser to the bottom of the sea.

But the truth, we can easily surmise, is that the Yankees were finger-flipping off our good friends from the east and challenging them to a “stare down”. So, so typically American. The problem is that the Americans believe all of the Hollywood crapolia and figured the Ruskies would back down. They didn’t back down. The Yankees flinched and all they could do was batten down the hatches and man the machinery to avoid getting their buttocks handed to them by the Russians.

Let that be a lesson to the Americans: Don’t swallow the propaganda from Washington and don't provoke a confrontation with Russia.

Oh yeah ..... and reporting the incident to some higher authority instead of congratulating the Russian Navy on their courage proves that you ain't no Hollywood heroes. :disbelief:

But we did provoke the vatniks....we clobbered several hundred in Syria over a year ago....Big Bad Boris did nothing.

Note to the Moskalis....old American saying....You **** with the best, you died like the rest. :roflol:

Yeah, I understand. If someone pulls out in front of me when I am driving I have to brake
hard, else its my fault. I was in an old wreck of a car once and I decided to simply not brake
when someone cut me off - I would miss him by a few inches I thought. And did I get abused
    for not slowing down!!!!

Well in this case... rather easy. I dunno why nobody looked it up. But there is a right of way for boats.
And last time I checked the vid,.. the Russians came from starboard and so had the right of way.
I guess not everybody knows the maritime basic rules...
    • When two power-driven vessels are in crossing situation on a collision course, give way to the vessel to starboard (right). The give way vessel must take early and obvious action to avoid a collision by either stopping or altering course to starboard.

I vaguely remember this from when I was a boy water-skiing with my father.
If you can link that it would be a great focal point in the thread.

It's time to stop talking about all these near-miss incidents, place subs in the shadows, and small-charge torpedo the next Russian ship that tries it. Then be ready with charges that can sink.
