This is an Australian programme (goes to air weekly) which is very good on facts. https://iview.abc.net.au/video/NC2414H011S00 Yes it is longish but it discusses (in order) Ohio/Moreno The US Senate Menendez POTUS Polls Campaign funds Humpty***/legal fees "Bloodbath" comments Jan 6 'hostages' It the goes on to a US commentator and I stopped watching.
Interesting how the Australian media obsesses about U.S. politics a whole lot more than those in the U.S. know (or care) anything about the political happenings in Australia. I doubt Australia is sending investigative journalists to the U.S., so one wonders where they are getting their information.
Probably just talking points straight from George Soros outlets. Or whatever other left-wing media they just copy and paste the talking points from. Does anyone even know of any Australian investigative journalist operating in America?
Easily explained. When the Australian Prime Minister farts, the only people affected are Australians. When POTUS farts, the whole Planet gets the whiff. "You" need to understand that. 'You'd' be amazed how much even every day Aussies (like, eg, the people I play 500 cards with) have a view on Humpty***, even the most conservative among us. The vast majority cannot understand how anyone like either Humpty*** or Biden (but to a much lesser degree) is the best the USA can put on offer. *Rapist *Swindler *Bordering on pathological
Rupert Murdoch began his News Corp media empire in '52 with a newspaper in Adelaide, Australia. After acquiring more newspapers and media outlets in Australia and New Zealand he expanded to the UK in '69 and then the US in '74. Through the hundreds of media outlets owned by News Corp he exerts similar political influence spanning Australia, the UK and the US. As pointed out above, since the US is the "sole superpower", every other country has a vital interest in influencing US politics.
He was a celebrity before he was President. I don't know whether The Apprentice ran in Australia, but there was an Australian Celebrity Apprentice spin off. Actually, there were spin offs in a number of countries around the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice#International_versions
I just think it's funny that some Trump supporters on this forum believe that Trump is popular outside the US. Those Trump supporters clearly have no idea how much Trump is laughed at by the majority of those outside the US. Trump is an embarrassment for the US
And no other nation is as loud or draws attention to itself as much as the US. Your f**t analogy is very fitting. (if unpleasant in reality) It is evident that many don't care about any other nation but their own....let alone what other nations think of the US. That level of arrogance has been perfected by the American culture. But, most countries have come to understand that the US is very needy of being aggressive and showy ....and attention seeking. Which suggests that with all is self proclaimed power, it is quite insecure. Tech advances are isolated within specific areas, and do not reflect on the human component that is still racist, believes they HAVE to have guns to protect themselves ( which opposes any concept of civility) and the backwards ideas that still exist about female reproduction , birth control where religion has taken over the science and logic . The US is still a young nation by comparison to most on the planet. As far as "growth and development" goes.......it behaves like a teenage bully , too often. Unfortunately, many believe they are better than anyone else. But reality is that they are just different. What many refuse to see, is that countries outside the US usually have a clear and objective view of what the US is and does. Not always kind, but reality is not always kind or flattering.
Exactly. They don't see Trump as objectively as peple outside the US do. ( Well SOME actually do) You are right.......he is laughed at , but also wonder how someone like that can even be eligible to run for office. (with al his baggage and personality disorder) One answer might be is that people are rather gullible when it comes to wealth or believing someone is wealthy. Wealth is also defined as power. Money , wealth, perceived success are critical factors in US culture.
More, their opinion is irrelevant. We all know who they come crying to when they need a tit to suck on.
With great power , comes much responsibility. How a powerful nation handles itself on the world stage , determines it's character.
Precisely why should we care about what other nations think? We provide more aid to other nations than any other country in the world, but it is largely unappreciated.
