    Or the NRA.

    As the headline said...

"Despite weeks of intense scrutiny, Planned Parenthood is still more popular than the National Rifle Association, the Supreme Court, both political parties, every presidential candidate and President Barack Obama, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Monday.

Across party lines, Planned Parenthood's favorability rating is 45 percent..."

Planned Parenthood Is More Popular Than Any Presidential Candidate

I'm sure some will disagree with the poll, but reality is that many people stand with Planned Parenthood and the good work they do.

Only a very small percent (3%) are related to abortion services, and though most of us wish women didn't have to face these difficult choices, some do. One out of three by the time a woman reaches menopause. It's a reality.

The tissue donation program offered at some of their clinics provides researchers with measures to help improve and save lives with a goal to prevent debilitating and deadly diseases.

Planned Parenthood helps a lot of people, and much of their work goes towards education and birth control (to help prevent abortion) in addition to providing mammograms, cancer and STD screenings and other health services to both men and women.

The efforts to defund and cripple PP will meet with no good end.

They are generally viewed favorably, in the opinion of the American people.

Obamacare has made planned parenthood obsolete, and a complete waste of tax payer dollars.

Only 3% of ISIS soldiers actually behead people. ISIS brings much needed services to poor Muslim communities.

    Preventive health services for women

All Marketplace health plans and many other plans must cover the following list of preventive services for women without charging you a copayment or coinsurance. This is true even if you haven’t met your yearly deductible.

This applies only when these services are delivered by an in-network provider.

Anemia screening on a routine basis for pregnant women

Breast Cancer Genetic Test Counseling (BRCA) for women at higher risk for breast cancer

Breast Cancer Mammography screenings every 1 to 2 years for women over 40

Breast Cancer Chemoprevention counseling for women at higher risk

Breastfeeding comprehensive support and counseling from trained providers, and access to breastfeeding supplies, for pregnant and nursing women

Cervical Cancer screening for sexually active women

Chlamydia Infection screening for younger women and other women at higher risk

Contraception: Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, and patient education and counseling, as prescribed by a health care provider for women with reproductive capacity (not including abortifacient drugs). This does not apply to health plans sponsored by certain exempt “religious employers.”

Domestic and interpersonal violence screening and counseling for all women

Folic Acid supplements for women who may become pregnant

Gestational diabetes screening for women 24 to 28 weeks pregnant and those at high risk of developing gestational diabetes

Gonorrhea screening for all women at higher risk

Hepatitis B screening for pregnant women at their first prenatal visit

HIV screening and counseling for sexually active women

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) DNA Test every 3 years for women with normal cytology results who are 30 or older

Osteoporosis screening for women over age 60 depending on risk factors

Rh Incompatibility screening for all pregnant women and follow-up testing for women at higher risk

Sexually Transmitted Infections counseling for sexually active women

Syphilis screening for all pregnant women or other women at increased risk

Tobacco Use screening and interventions for all women, and expanded counseling for pregnant tobacco users

Urinary tract or other infection screening for pregnant women

Well-woman visits to get recommended services for women under 65

[IMG] "We need Planned Parenthood. ObamaCare’s expansion of coverage options provides free sexual and reproductive health services, but millions fall in the Medicaid gap in state’s that didn’t expand Medicaid and millions more have yet to get coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Without Planned Parenthood millions of low-income men and women in non-expansion states would have nowhere to turn for reproductive health services, education, and information.

Even in states that expanded Medicaid, Planned Parenthood helps both those with and without insurance including those with Marketplace coverage. Free birth control, cancer screenings related to sexual health, STI screenings, and maternity care may be covered under ObamaCare, but even people with coverage still need a place to get those services.

The truth is, the role Planned Parenthood plays in our society goes beyond the services a family doctor, hospital, or even community health centers can provide in some regions. Below we take a look at what Planned Parenthood really does and how ObamaCare (the Affordable Care Act) affects things."

But I thought part of the criticism of Obamacare was that patient wait times were going to increase drastically? Why would you want to get rid of medical services that once gotten rid of only increase that wait time even more because now there are the same amount of people trying to get service from fewer places?

How is it waste if it's providing services women need and doing so without reducing the number of available medical services for everyone? This country needs more doctors and nurses and medical facilities, not less. Obamacare is the reality, whether we like it or not. I'm not really a fan of it either. But what you suggest is just spitefulness that doesn't help anybody. You can't even claim that Obamacare doesn't help anyone, but your idea certainly would making it an even worse suggestion than Obamacare.

Well.. they are really doing a number on Margret Sanger accusing her of racism and eugenics even murder, but if you actually do some research her real push was for healthy babies and healthy mothers.

    - - - Updated - - -

No PP is not about fraud and abuse.. Its about women's health an giving even the poor a chance at having healthy babies AND healthy mothers.

No, Obamacare provides the funding for people to go to the doctor, it doesn't provide the doctors and nurses and medical facilities. That's what organizations liked Planned Parenthood provide.

Your argument is false, because those millions that fall into the medicare gap, make too much money, and are not low-income.

Okay, so, the people who need those services drive to Obamacare to get them? They make an appointment with Obamacare, go into the Obamacare building, get seen by the Obamacare nurses and doctors, and have the medical services performed by Obamacare?

Do you understand how Obamacare actually works? That kinda seems like something you should nail down before you try to criticize it.

Yes, thats how i know your claims are false and basically support wasting US Tax Payer dollars by duplicating government services, for no apparent reason.

Obamacare provides funding for people to go to the doctor.

If your poor you get medicaid for free.

Planned Parenthood has no reason to exist, because of obamacare and the individual mandate.

I already explained to you why it makes sense to have Planned Parenthood and why having Obamacare does not replace the need for organizations and business like it. The reason is only not apparent if you didn't read what I wrote or do not possess an understanding of how the medical system works in this country.

Obamacare is health insurance. Health insurance is useless if there are no doctors, hospitals, and clinics to go to. Being able to afford visiting those places are why you get the health insurance in the first place. There is always a finite number of those places available. One of the main criticisms of Obamacare was that it would increase patient wait times. It does this because more people can now afford to go to the same number of doctors. What you suggest by defunding PP reduces the number of those available doctors and nurses and clinics. Obamacare does not and was never intended to replace organizations like Planned Parenthood.

But then again, I suppose that understanding is not a prerequisite of spite so perhaps you're in the clear.

Are you talking with me or at me? Because you ignore what I have said and make up things I didn't.

I seriously suggest you do some homework. Maybe you can have a workshop at your next Tea Party gathering.
