It all depends on what kind of society we want. Do we really want a society like that south of the border... ... or like that of the middle east? Because if we don't, then we need to let law enforcement do their jobs... ... w/o 'politically correct' second guessing them all the time. This may be a black and white way of looking at things... ... but I guarantee that is the way the terrorists... ... gang-bangers, and drug lords see their world. In the vast majority of so-called police shootings... ... the so-called 'victims' have a wrap sheet... ... as long as your arm. Keep in mind that a 13 year old with a gun... ... can kill you just as dead as a 30 year old. This is what Osama bin-Laden meant... ... when he said America had grown 'soft'. With the world the way it is nowdays we no longer have... ... the luxury of giving the benefit of the doubt... ... to the perpetraitors of crimes against a law oriented society. That is, if we want to continue to keep a society based on laws... ... and rules that are designed to keep such a society viable. For some, this may be a hard choice to make... ... while others would err on the side of caution... ... in order to keep the status quo... ... and prevent it from degenerating even further.
