The university had not yet confirmed how many of the arrested protestors were students or faculty, though in a statement Monday evening, the university said they believed many of the protestors on UT's campus were not affiliated with the school.

"When approached, protestors escalated by becoming physically and verbally combative with the Dean of Students’ staff," the university said. "In response, the University of Texas took swift action to preserve a safe, conducive learning environment for our 53,000 students as they prepare for final exams."
Most of the protesters are not and there needs to be some identification of them. Later they might be carrying explosives that Russia gave them to blow themselves up and building somewhere.

So what did she say that was wrong? Trump tried to overthrow the election. He called for a recount without any grounds for a recount, and he told Raffensperger that "all I need is 11,780 votes" even though he was told the vote count was confirmed, valid, and correct by several people. He then went on to tell his horde that "if you don't fight like hell you won't have a country any more" and sent them to the Capitol where they looked for Pence to hang him, looked for Nancy to drag her out by her heels, and ransacked the building. Evidence is that he was the "mastermind" of the attempted coup.

Trump tried to overthrow the election. If you disagree then there is no point discussing reality any further with one who refuses to see.

So Maddow said nothing wrong. I know of something she said that was wrong a few years ago but you don't need to know.
