:D That's an old myth. There is nothing acoustically mysterious about the quack of a duck.

    Party-pooper!
How about the fact(?) that cows can be led up a stair, but not down. Please, don't say it is a myth too. It is just too hilarious.

Perfect to use as a base in most dishes. I see it as more of a spice than a veggie. :)

Was it in Animal House where John Belushi took the Commanders horse upstairs into a bedroom?

It's nice in a soup- with a little cheese. A creamy sort of soup. And yes it does add a nice flavour to many casseroles and stews.

    I
Given that it was ANIMAL house, I would guess. :D

I do have to run but was taking a quick look for area a man can walk. No luck but just for grins...

At 1 beru = 60 stadia = 2 parasang, the parasang could then "be expressed as as 10,800 'common' [i.e. trade] Babylonian cubits, or 18,000 Attic feet, both figures exactly."[1]

I think that is true. And I know that teenagers and drunk cowboys really do go cow tipping late at night.

My dog had a lot of trouble going downstairs. I think it was co ordinating his hind legs with the going forward and down at the same time. He's a good dog but not too bright.

Cows have nearly 360 degree panoramic vision and can smell for miles, so if it works, the cow was asleep..

    Yes, that's the idea.

According to these guys, there is no such a thing as cow tipping. They didn't get one tip!

I wash the onions in cold water after taking off the skin and always use a very sharp knife when slicing/dicing

Same concept applies to reading black text on a white page. Since black absorbs all light what you are actually reading is the white light reflected from around the black text.

    Absolutely.

All colors come down to (melded) as black or white.

    Depending on one's "perception".

How interesting is it, that Politics is the same way?

Black/White? Live and let Live. :salute:

If you make a wheel covered with black and white squares, and spin the wheel at the right speed, it will appear to be green.

The flashing of black and white trick the eye into seeing color. When I was a kid, I remember an experiment run by a local TV station in Los Angeles. Black and white TV was still in wide use. They had the idea to use the flashing of black and white to produce color on a black and white TV. They did a test broadcast that you could watch and I remember seeing green. But I think the idea died as color TVs became affordable.

It was only years later when I learned about the spinning wheel, did I understand what I had seen on TV as a child. OH!!! I SEE!!! It only took about 20 years. :D

Eh,,, not really. Different colors of light have different frequencies. White is the presence of all frequencies.

Pink Floyd explained all of this :D

Isn't that why they use plain green backgrounds so that they can project whatever they want on them to make it appear as though Superman is "flying"?

You just can't trust your "lying eyes" anymore! ;)
