The same reason that people (other than perhaps sociopaths and serial killers like John Wayne Gacy) find it morally evil to kill children.
That's what happens to women in Latin America when they are hospitalized for a botched abortion. Their existing children go motherless. How "pro-life" is that?
So if I was thinking logically, I would realise killing people should be justified. That is a rather strange argument, as I think most people who think rationally can see that it is unlawful to kill others without just cause. Morally speaking they should for the most part, and for the most part people do. Howver somethings are not permitted and I believe abortion should not be permitted as it is the mureder of an innocent person.
If I believed what I was doing was moral and nothing wrong, I would not care what others thought. Abortion has nothing to do with healthcare, as matter of fact it is the exact opposite, it is killing someone who relly does need healthcare.
The Pro-Life rallies we have every year are for the whole island of Ireland, they alternate the venues one year Dublin the next Belfast. The message is about keeping the whole island abortion free.
The vast majority of people here in Ireland do not want abortion permitted. It should be made more difficult for a start for women to have abortions. If it is made to be unacceptable in society then fewer will occur.
Debating abortionists is like shooting ducks in a barrel. Really it should be outlawed for humane reasons.
But it's not, and even if it were, a legal abortion is a ferry ride away. Or are you going to ban pregnant women from leaving the country?
It's not what?. No one is banning anyone fron taking a ferry. It is just illegal to have an abortion in Ireland.
Killing some people, yes. LOL Yes they can see it is unlawful but that is irrelevant. If they think it is immoral, then they arent thinking logically. Why do you believe killing an innocent person is wrong in an of itself?
Good for you. As you may have figured out, not everyone is you. Yes, it does. Why should they be entitled to something they dont want?
You would be surprised at what lifers will do in their attempt to control the bodies of others anything up to and including getting a high court order to prevent a 14 y/o suicidal rape victim leaving the country, don't worry as crazy as the lifers are and as badly they have butchered our constitution in their attempts to control others the supreme court overturned it on appeal, and actually ruled that if a woman's life was endangered by the pregnancy they could have an abortion. Are they not merciful?
Some of them would believe the girl was a murderer for wanting to rid herself of her rape baby. They wouldn't care about her mental health, only the fetus.
Thats right we are anti to the choice of murder. It's quite reasonable to be opposed to this, I believe.
To believe killing people without just cause is immoral, is not thinking rationally. I do not know what you call rational thought but, killing people without just cause is most irrational. I would even dare to say that most pro - abortionists would agree, they are trying to argue ther is just cause. But you simply say it is logical and rational to kill people for no just cause. I believe to kill innocent people to be wrong because it something that is implanted in us. There is some things we know to be wrong automatically. Even if I was out on a desert island and had grown up with no contact with civilisation, then I went and lived in a city and on my first day I saw a man jump on a 2 year old childs' head, I would still know this to be wrong even without having the influence of socciety. There is certain things we just know are not morally right.
Maybe a better option would be to give this girl counselling, rather than killing the human being within her. The child in her womb is not guilty of any crime.
There can be no murder in an abortion under British law. Murder only applies to human beings, and a foetus is not a human being in law until it is "fully expelled from its mother and has an independent existence".
