I don't know if I'd call the ~50% of the population that are women "an extremely small subset."

I see you didn't actually read the proposal. Maybe learn what you're commenting on before shooting your mouth off.

I know this, pandering to this bullshit seems to be easier than actually addressing the tsunami of problems facing the working and middle classes. Apparently Democrats can't even pretend to give a **** about the lower castes, they are too busy smelling each other's farts and virtue signaling to each other. Their morals are broken and their human decency is nonexistent.

What did I miss I think I addressed it directly.

    You
People who cringe at being their true gender have no right to demand the other 99% of us change the language and take normal inoffensive natural and accurate terminology from the language. I am a father, a brother and a son and this is a slap in the fact to be to say that my being so is so offensive the terms must be banned. The height of absurdity and pandering. Why is it important and why am I the problem? Why is calling me what I am a father, a brother and a son no offensive and saying I have a daughter is a faux pas?

I can’t imagine where it would be relevant for congress. Are they passing laws to only benefit fathers or sons? Seems neutral makes the most sense.

No they are passing laws to ban the mention of fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and other gender specific terms. Well I'm gender specific and it's an insult that how I IDENTIFY according to the science is banned from use in our HoR and the legislation it generates and uses within the body in speech.

And of course simply absurd to censor and ban common words, natural words, proper words because .0001% might cringe when they hear them.

The proposal only affects you if you're a House rep. No one's asking you to change your language, or anyone, really. It just changes the language in rules text within the House procedures. It would be funny how twisted folks are getting over this if it wasn't so pathetically ignorant.

I see no indication that this proposal is taking away from any other issue. Maybe you can tell us all what important problem was put on the back burner to make room for this proposal.

This isn't about women. Nor men. This isn't about biology.

This is about transgender and queer folks who can't understand simple science and desire society to adjust social norms to protect their fragile self esteem.

Our laws were already largely written non-binary, read them. They just want legislation in order to cement their ridiculous agenda and feel achievement, and the left is all to happy to accommodate nonsense.

Yeah, it's not, actually. If you bothered to read the proposal, you'd see it includes things like changing "Chairman" to simply "Chair." And it's just about the rules and language in the house, not actual legislation. More ignorant outrage from the triggered right.

Its stupidity on display and identity politics to appease those who place a priority on writing bills that do nothing to advance the country.

It’s a non-issue for me. I doubt it really think it took too much time away from any other debates.

If you say so. Seems like a silly thing to get all worked up about.

The left has two years to show us how they are going to move the country forward. No excuses. In excited to see their plan, but if it looks anything like this nonsense, it's not going to do much.

I see no outrage, only a discussion. Its stupid and a waste of time by a group that gets little done to begin with.

I would dare anyone to prove to me that there are more than 2 genders in the world. It is not biologically possible to be anything but male or female.

Also I wonder how Transgenders feel about this. They worked so long and hard to be considered the gender that they believe that they are... now its all blown away by the very people that once supported them.

Gender neutral.... idiocy. Even a eunuch has a gender.

Good point. All the pain and expense of turning a pole into a hole and now they are just another "it" like the rest of us! They got ripped off!

Now we have Pelosi calling for the end of 'gendered language!' Yes, Pelosi is just so moderate! :roflol:

Isn't it interesting how I posted my post 2 weeks ago and not one single person has even attempted to argue my point.

What does being misgendered have to do with removing these words? And Pelosi referred to herself in her speech as a mother, a daughter, a wife and a grandmother! :roflol:

Women and nonbinary folks filling positions referred to as "ombudsman," "chairman," etc. And nothing wrong with folks stating for themselves what they consider themselves to be. Laughing at that betrays a severe ignorance of the proposal and logic behind it.

The idea of the rule change was to REPLACE gendered language. Do you not know that?

Yes, in rules and titles. That's why I don't understand all the outrage over it.
