I have a 5 word response to this: Full Faith and Credit Clause

 

So you admit then that this poll and opening post is false.

It is not bigotry...they aren't saying two gays can't love each other.

 

Once again, your reasoning and logic just does not make any sense.

 

Which liberals do not support. Liberals support selective rights for marriage. If they truely believed in supporting the new defintion of " equal rights for marriage" they would support it for all sexual preferences.

But they don't. Just another liberal lie.

 

I have a two word response to that: legal precedence.

As a lawyer, I would expect you to know the importance of that term. Just like ballot access requirements for elections in each state, there is no set standard for the states in regards to marriage. The Full Faith and Credit clause has never been used to force a state to recognize a marriage that it does not wish to recognize. Which gay marriage states should be happy about, since the majority of states don't recognize gay marriages, FF&C could be used just as easily to force gay marriage states to go along with normal marriage states.

 

Bigots are on both sides. If you understood the actual defintion of the word you would know this.

A majority of states have laws banning gay marriage.

Not a single vote by the people has ever authorized gay marriage. Its 0-33 with the people.

Cite all the polls you want and stamp your feet as much as you like. When it comes down to the actual votes and the laws on the books on gay marriage, you are in the minority not the majority.

 

Because liberals can't face the fact that they are in the minority opinion on gay marriage.

They are complete losers with an 0-33 record by direct vote by the people and a majority of states ban gay marriage.

 

Many States banned interracial marraige too a few decades ago. What happened to the States rights and will of the people in those States Tex?

Oh yeah, I remember now. FEDERAL LAW overrules State Law. Times changed and interracial marraige became legal.

Gay Marraige will be legal in all 50 States in the very near future. Nothing you bigoted folks will be able to do about it neither, other than (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) & moan about the good ole days where it was legal to (*)(*)(*)(*) on the liberties & freedoms of those who differ from you.

There is no right to homosexuality nor homosexual marriage. If you want to make it legal you'll have to do it at the ballot box and there where people can really vote their conscious it loses overwhelmingly. Most people don't believe government should be encouraging or supporting or sanctioning homosexuality.

 

Because race has nothing to do with promoting and encouraging and sanctioning heterosexuality and the nuclear family.

 

Race is genetic. Homosexuality is not.

Since the government grants 1400 rights with marriage, it has a duty to hand those rights out equally per the 14th amendment. Gays have the right to those rights just as heteros do.

It did in 1950. That was ruled unconsitutional, so will banning gay marraige.

No, based on whats going on around you. It matters not what the results of these unconstitutional State votes are. Gay Marraige will be law of the land one day and there is NOTHING you will be able to do about it. Best if you just realize that and move on.

I understand the word perfectly. There is NO other reason for people to want government to step in and ban gay marraige other than bigotry. To deny that is foolish.

I agree with Jefferson. And the will of the people will be upheld once gay marraige is allowed by law in ALL 50 States.

 

The government doesn't grant rights.

It is equal, all men can marry a woman and all women can marry a man. There is no constitutional requirement that society sanction or encourage homosexuality.

It's the only poll that counts.

 

Um, sure it does. Society creates rights, the State is what enforces them in our society.

It is bigoted, both based on sex and on sexual orientation, and it must be rectified.

Poll numbers mean nothing on civil rights issues.
