I am missing something. When I post a jpeg (say about 50k) it always shows up very small, like a postage stamp. I see other pasting full page pictures.

    What am I doing wrong?

It is meant to show up small. You just click on the picture to enlarge it.

Go to the member's profile and type on their visitor page.

Just below where you paste in the img URL, you will notice "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" ` UNCHECK the box, before submitting.

Your image will now post full size. ;)

If you go to the members page there is an area there to post a reply to a visitor message.

Nope, doesn't work with this format. You would have to resize using a photoshop site of sorts

This might help to answer additional questions

    Shang is correct.

Using a graphics program is more practical in my opinion. Using HTML can slow the page loading on a site, as the image is transferred in it's original size anyway, then reduced. ~ **Usually the idea is to reduce size. However they can be enlarged, but limited, otherwise they distort.**

Here is a good little resizing program.

    Regards

Photobucket is a good site to resize your photos if your computer doesn't have a program that will resize for you. You can upload to Photobucket then copy and paste on this site..

Thanks for the info Daisy. I've never visited or used Photobucket, although I have read of it. I will check it out.

Earlier today I gave a link to a program... but, have found another I like even better. This one enables me to resize multiple photos, which is great as I have hundreds on flash drives.

I've toyed around with it a bit today, and it is simple and does a good job (for anyone interested).......
