Now it is my personal belief, that this should be removed from job applications and other forms of application, since this in itself encourages racism. If we are truly equal than there is no such thing as white, black, yellow, and red. We are all people, we all eat, we all drink, and we all die, the color of our skin does not change that, thus the color of our skin should not apply to what jobs we are looking to get or what colleges we wish to attend.
There are questions on most job applications that would be relevant to appearance, such as height, weight, eye color and hair. This is helpful in a small business after interviewing a large number of people for the same position, at least as a memory aid to the interviewer, to associate a face with the name. It is also useful in keeping labor statistics, especially in occupations in which there is a history of discrimination. It also helps when trying to assemble a crew that reflects the population of the community which the business serves. It is probably a better idea to have at least a few Asian people working in a large store in a city like Tacoma, if for no other reason, to not appear that your business is hostile toward the Asian community.
Try and tell that to the racists that designed the 'quota' systems and the 'Affirmative Action' programs that are geared to help out any and all minorities to overcome their inability to score high on tests or in having the particular skills to meet and match the requirements for a job interview.
Tell that to the feds. And take it off the census forms. Hell. Already they won't inform the public the color of the rapist or burglar or mobs running around. Why is it okay for some of these things and not others. And what about politics? Should a president be allowed to claim racial prerogatives? Or fail to uphold the law based on race of the perps?
Neither both parties are corrupt, in the end even though they go on about how much they are different they are exactly the same.
It shouldn't be an aspect of the application process (including so-called "positive discrimination"/"affirmative actions") but it can still have a place on application forms. Many companies here have demographic questions on a separate part of the application form which is only used for statistics. As long as racism remains an issue (which it inevitably will for the foreseeable future), I think it's valid to assess who are applying and who are getting the jobs to identify any potential issues or if only to cover a fair company in the event of false accusations of racism.
They are, the difference is how they get votes. Democratic party is buying votes by providing special rights to women, African-americans and gays. Republican party get votes by providing tax break to middle class and small business owners.
I'm not a racist (my mixed race kids will confirm that) but anyone needs to see potential employees for hygienic, presentably, physical fitness or whatever other requirements one may have for a particular job...it's sad laws need to be applied to make sure people don't use race as qualification for work...
They say they do, but they lie a lot. Democrats are in the business of seeing to it that the money players do not use some phony excuse to shut people out of the ecconomic system so that capital has a good pool of cheap, desperate-for-a-job workers.
