Racial Ignorance; Willingness To Learn Both Sides Of The Story

Ignorance is defined in the dictionary as such...

It is of my opinion (and the opinion of most racists) that anti-racists are deeply ignorant. They usually grow up in majority White neighborhoods and live life holding only one opinion/belief having never researched racism properly through the eyes of racists themselves or never having lived amongst a large population of another race of people.

Me, I grew up as a staunch anti-racist living in a vastly black majority hellhole. I hated racism and wanted so desperately for all races to live as one in perfect harmony. As I grew up around mainly blacks I began to learn that could never become a reality... and only one race was to blame... blacks. As an adult, I am now a proud racist.

I have lived life holding complete opposite ends of the spectrum views on race. I have vast experience... have you?

My question is this. As an anti-racist, have you ever visited a racist website and listened to the viewpoints of racists themselves? Have you the patience, rationality or the maturity to try? It does come down to maturity really... it's really easy to see the N word and say "this ain't worth my time." But a mature, rational, adult person can get past that and learn why the hate exists in the first place.

As far as I'm concerned, if you assume why a racist person hates instead of researching and learning (like many anti-racists on this forum do) then your argument not only becomes redundant, but you're not even worthy of debating.

Try visiting a right-wing website and spending some time understanding why racism exists. Then maybe a lot of your arguments against racism will begin to hold a little merit.

We're all human whether we harbor extreme views or not.

I voted yes and it was exactly as I predicted. The really hardcore racists are bat (*)(*)(*)(*) crazy. Anyone calling for a group of people to be executed, hung, sent back to their homeland, or forced to pay for their welfare because they cant make it are stupid.

You've never gone to any racially aware website and spent significant time reading their opinions and arguments. You went there with a preconceived view and looked for the one or two views of the most extreme members and used that to justify your bizarre views.

I also lived in a black ghetto and I am also white. I experienced the extreme racism of blacks toward whites. A white was in life-threatening jeopardy if out after dark on the streets there.

That being said, I came to realize that, just like racist white cultures there are racist black cultures. In the area I lived, we called them 'street people' belligerent blacks who mocked authority, drank and did drugs openly on the streets and considered the main drag their 'turf.'

I had many black friends in the neighborhoods who were not racist at all. I think to paint a whole population as racist just because of the overwhelming hatred of a minority of them is wrong.

Also, keep in mind that a white friend of mine was severely beaten by at least 12 to 14 blacks just because he stopped at a hamburger stand to get something to eat. I do not blame the entire black race for that just as blacks should not blame all whites for the minority of rabid white racists.

 

Thank you for sharing your story. I respect your opinion and viewpoint. I disagree with you, but you're certainly knowledgeable and experienced, which is far more than I can say about most anti-racists.

I voted no because the asshles on Stormfront and any other racist website seem to think their opinion, based mainly on race, is the truth.

No one gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) if you think Jews were behind 9/11 or that black people should go back to Africa or that you like David Duke, no one with an IQ higher than their age anyway.

 

Yeah, this question isn't really for black "people" anyway. If we could get more input from non-blacks that'd be great.

 

Just visited that "gem" of a site. Some interesting threads and thought provoking issues but still alot of the "we hate n******" and "we hate jooz", and we hate "f***".

I don't think people should be judged for anything other than their character and actions and their desire to contribute (or at least stay neutral) to society.

I read one forum about a black girl that asked if they really hated black people and it was almost constantly yes. Another one about gays saying they should be deported to Africa with the blacks or shot.

The leader of Stormfront David Duke has a doctorate degree, and simply by reading one or both of his enormously successful books...."My Awakening" and "Jewish Supremacism" would bring your IQ up to at least to the standard of 50 for any liberal that has an ability to read and comprehend at the same time.

I started a thread some years ago on the "opposing viewpoints" subforum stormfront.org offers for people to share exchanges. Those that were willing to participate in an exchange did so on a topic dealing mostly with the origins of their racial exclusivity. My question dealt mostly with the practicality of forming such a concrete view of a variety of cultures based solely on their personal experiences.

What I found was that it baffled most of them that there could possibly be a plethora of personalities existent within a racial ethnicity, as an acknowledgement for said differences would inevitably trump their generalizations and frankly... core platform for ideology. I challenged them to give me the cons to mixing races with an established/well-off/mature person of color... and most of them (instead) resorted to the infantile tactics of things I shouldn't have to repeat. It was as if people actually thought that with melanin came a type of attitude, and once that was realized (and endorsed) there's really no reason to take you seriously.
