    Just released. This is 18 short pages. It describes the baseline Trump wants to reopen the US;

    "OPENING UP AMERICA AGAIN

Proposed State or Regional Gating Criteria
(Satisfy Before Proceeding to Phased Opening)

    SYMPTOMS

    CASES

    HOSPITALS

    Downward trajectory of influenza-like
illnesses (ILI) reported within a 14-day period

    Downward trajectory of documented cases
    within a 14-day period

Treat all patients without crisis care

    AND

    OR

    Downward trajectory of covid-like syndromic
cases reported within a 14-day period

Downward trajectory of positive tests as a
percent of total tests within a 14-day period
(flat or increasing volume of tests)

    AND

Robust testing program in place for
    at-risk healthcare workers, including
    emerging antibody testing

*State and local officials may need to tailor the application of these criteria to local circumstances (e.g., metropolitan areas that have
suffered severe COVID outbreaks, rural and suburban areas where outbreaks have not occurred or have been mild). Additionally, where
appropriate, Governors should work on a regional basis to satisfy these criteria and to progress through the phases outlined below."

when the last time we had to shut down America and then re-open it?

why would we have to do it, again?

    the phrasing is ridiculous.

I want to see what the U.S. will be like if we do an 18 month Pelosi shutdown.

I’m sure it would be a combination of “Mad Max”, “A Clockwork Orange”, and “Escape from New York”.

You know, I thought about this, how my home in a peaceful mid sized Southern city with outstanding infrastructure and schools would shoot up several times in value. But in the end, keep the money Yankees, we're full.

If you recall, he'd has success in 2016 with denigrating America by saying it wasn't always great...

His supporters don't know the difference and that's who he exclusively works for...

Ergo, the majority is left to try and figure it out for ourselves... assuming you care or pay the least bit of attention to what he says or does....

So when Cuomo said it was never great that was not denigrating.. ( You really need to stay consistent)

And you need to post things that aren't common knowledge instead of staying inside your information vacuum...

If its common knowledge then your previous post shows for sure you can not be consistent....

You really are slipping up lately.

Depends on the criteria for greatness. No America is not the land of equal opportunity. No America does not have the best healthcare in the world. No, America does not rank high in social mobility. No , America does not have a great public education system.

Yes America is great if you are rich.

How is it not equal opportunity? Are you saying people from poor backgrounds have not ended up much better throughout life?
Our country develops most of the the advancements in healthcare be it new drugs/ treatments.. new and less evasive surgeries or high tech solutions.
Of course we have social mobility how can you claim we do not?
If we have a horrible education system why do people from around the world come here to be educated?

Are you rich, Middle Class or Poor?

You can do research on the GINI coefficient should you care to educate yourself. But the simplest fact is the biggest predictor of the class you end up in is the class you were born into.

And people from around the world do not come to America to go to our public schools.

The Governors will coordinate with each other and work with the scientists and doctors to figure out when is the right time to open up.

    deal with it

People from around the world immigrate here.. You can deny that all you want..

There is plenty of upward mobility. Myself i went from a borderline poverty single parent household to upper middle class.. in your imagination it didnt happen.

You did not answer my question..

Are you Poor, Middle Class, or Rich?

I thought it was a reasonable well-laid-out plan. I wish people could put politics aside for five minutes and look at the coronavirus situation objectively moving forward, because we can't stay on lockdown, pointing fingers and politicizing every dotted "i" and crossed "t" indefinitely.

My state is interesting because we have some very hard hit areas, and we have areas which have hardly been hit at all. Our governor (DeSantis/Florida) was supposedly in meetings much of today, so I'm anxious to hear what has been decided.

I'm thinking the model for the country (state-by-state) would also work for the states, where we would mirror the recommended state-by-state approach but apply it county-by-county, whereby lesser impacted counties can maybe begin reopening (we have at least 10 counties in Florida with less than 10 cases each) while areas like Miami-Dade could easily be on lockdown for another month (8000+ cases.) The biggest potential problem with this, of course, is the risk of people from high contamination areas fleeing to low contamination areas, and bringing the coronavirus with them. It seems like some sort of travel restrictions might have to be implemented, although I surely don't know the logisitics or the legalities; I'm just thinking out loud.

So we're only 8 pages into a thread to discuss the Open UP America Again guidelines and you Ronstar have already tried to turn it into a "let's attack Trump about something else thread"

Can't you ever stay on topic and offer something of interest towards it?

I think they will take this and their own particular situations and populations and working in regions they will. This sets the stage for them. I'm hearing governors in the South and Mid-West and West praising it and rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.
