red X

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or not , but I thought I'd ask .

I've repeatedly tried to import graphics , but when I post , all I'm seeing is a big red X ... the PF smileys load with no trouble.

also , I've configured my CP to not post my sig line , but I'm still having to manually un-check it every time I post .

 

If everyone else can post images without a problem, its likely the images you are trying to post. Some pictures are just 'bad'. They don't show up at all. Preview the post before you post it to see if the image has worked.

When you put in a pic or a smiley, if you are clicking the Insert Image button it automatically enters the "http://" bit for you.

If you paste a link into that, you have two "http://"s as one is already there automatically.

I think if you delete an http:// it will work.

Hillbilly, when you click the insert image button, it brings up a dialog to insert a picture. It puts an http: in the field by default, you need to clear that out before you paste the address to the picture.

yes , Todww has a $50.00 steak dinner in any restaraunt he chooses . I have promised him that and I will honor my word .

He's helped me many times , so I figure he's earned it many times over .

Being the gentleman he is , he's so far declined my offer , but I ain't letting him off the hook , and I'll give him that steak dinner and a few beers as well , I just wish I could be there to share that steak & a few beers with him in person .
