Hundreds of health care workers who were denied religious exemptions from the COVID shot mandate – many of whom lost their jobs as a result – have been vindicated in a multimillion-dollar settlement.

The $10.3 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit on Friday not only opens the door for the more than 500 health care workers who were terminated to be rehired and their seniority reinstated, it also requires the NorthShore University HealthSystem in Illinois to provide religious accommodations in every position across its numerous facilities. NorthShore must also change its unlawful "no religious accommodations" policy to make it consistent with the law.

"[This settlement is] an encouragement to other employees who, like these at NorthShore, were abused by these unlawful mandates: stay the course, you're doing the right thing, and we will pursue justice for you." (Mat Staver)
The 13 NorthShore employees who are the lead plaintiffs in the lawsuit were represented by Liberty Counsel….

…"This classwide settlement providing compensation and the opportunity to return to work is the first of its kind in the nation involving COVID shot mandates," …

his news report is great news for those who believe in individual rights and for those who support religious liberty. Religious liberty was often trampled by blue states, cities, and corporate management. All to often it was done gleefully and with full malice of ill intent against believers.

A great victory against blue government inspired tyranny. The workers will get reinstated with lost pay and more.

This is hilarious nevertheless. I remembered the left were cheering healthcare workers and elevating them to accolade status that is until they refused the snake oil.

I too remember that. The praise for the workers then was universal. Then when they wouldn’t drink the kool aid after Biden demanded it if them, they who’d risked everything and protected us the best they could became villains to the left. Fortunately a lot of firefighters, law enforcement, and health workers forced out at blue cities, states, and companies quickly got similar jobs in red states

It’s interesting that Christianity has moved from worship of their chosen deity to being used to seek special status while discriminating against all around them.

Some days I hope their god is real just so they can come face to face with their decisions. Other days I am ecstatic they have maybe two more generations before they are an extreme minority screaming into the void because they are treated equally.

Big middle finger to that mystery serum. That garbage is never entering my body. Sorry, too many people mysteriously dropping dead in their tracks for no apparent reason at 20-30 years old. There’s no way that injection is safe for everyone.

If you are healthy and non at risk, you have a greater chance of death by the snake oil but near zero chance from the virus.

In two generations, you’re worm food. These liberal causes such as transgenders, gays, abortion, etc… are never going to be accepted worldwide. Just wait until the white liberals are outnumbered and ousted from power. This nation will start taking on the views and policies from countries such as Mexico and the ones in Middle East. That’s a fact, Jack.

The second generation will start in ~31 years after gen z ends. So I doubt I will be “worm food”

Math aside, most of the first world allows abortion, gays are gaining rights across the globe and transgenders have existed in virtually all cultures — look up muxe for its Hispanic history and two souls with native Americans.

The percentage of individuals that take issue with gay people around the globe is declining every year and they are an extreme minority in most first world nations.

Bigotry is so detached from history, fact and logic that it requires a vacant mind to be able to reconcile these and end with such an outcome.

Your entire argument falls apart right here. The first-world is going bye-bye. When you import tens and hundreds of millions from the Middle East, Africa, Mexico, etc… that “first-world” status goes bye-bye. You have one thing right, though. Whites will become the minority. The Hispanics will take over. When that happens, the white-liberal agenda (like yours) will promptly be flushed down the toilet and there’s nothing you can do that is going to stop it. The white liberals who have created all this mess will be voted out and removed from power. Gays, transgenders, abortion, etc, etc… that all goes right out the window. You are essentially voting for your demise as we speak. It’s funny stuff, isn’t it? Lol

You do realize same sex marriage and civil unions are both legal under Mexican law? Yes?

The only thing funny is how quickly people speak without any idea what they are saying.

Why ignore Africa and the Middle-East? What do they think of gays and trannies? Do they hold their arms wide open for em? What does Islam think?

So is it Hispanics that you believe will be taking over North America after the yp vanish? Or is it the Africans and Middle Easterners?

That you also believe this is going to happen in just two generations is laughable. Have you ever considered how closely your ideology matches theirs?

Wow…it’s a “religious liberty” to spread disease amongst those you are charged to treat…??

    ‘Only in America’, I guess……

There is no way that believers should be compelled against their will to speak, create, act in violation of their closely held religious beliefs. It is immoral and bigoted of the LGBT community to expect that of them knowing what they do. They seek out devout Christian believers to do this out of hatred and a desire for revenge today against what was perceived to have happened in the past rather than asking others who would happily do it who do t have said beliefs. It is the gay trans community that are in the wrong here.

Pure BS! The vaccine does absolutely nothing whatsoever to stop the spread of the virus. We all know this.

    No we don’t.

    Effectiveness against transmission
As described above, several studies have provided evidence that vaccines are effective at preventing infection. Uninfected individuals cannot transmit; therefore, the vaccines are also effective at preventing transmission. There may be additional benefit, beyond that due to prevention of infection, if some of those individuals who become infected despite vaccination are also at a reduced risk of transmitting (for example, because of reduced duration or level of viral shedding). A household transmission study in England found that household contacts of cases vaccinated with a single dose had approximately 35 to 50% reduced risk of becoming a confirmed case of COVID-19. This study used routine testing data so would only include household contacts that developed symptoms and went on to request a test via pillar 2. It cannot exclude asymptomatic secondary cases or mildly symptomatic cases who chose not to request a COVID-19 test (17).
Data from Scotland has also shown that household contacts of vaccinated healthcare workers are at reduced risk of becoming a case, which is in line with the studies on infection (18). Both of these studies relate to a period when the Alpha variant dominated. An analysis from the ONS Community Infection Survey found that contacts of vaccinated index cases had around 65 to 80% reduced odds of testing positive with the Alpha variant and 35 to 65% reduced odds of testing positive with the Delta variant compare to contacts of unvaccinated index cases (19).
A summary of vaccine effectiveness evidence can be seen in Table 1.

People with the vaccine have passed it on to others and we also get it. I did.

And if you knew anything about mathematics and science, you would know that you aren’t dealing with absolute certainties! Nor are you dealing with single events, as in your case…you are looking at the effects across a population…

And the numbers are clear…as shown by the evidence produced by MuchAdo, there is a marked reduction in transmission from those who are vaccinated…!

But you know this, don’t you….it’s just that it gets in the way of your politics…

So long as it’s a legit religious claim I’m good with it.
