Rep. Cloud to Newsmax: Don't Let Uvalde Be Used to Centralize Federal Powers

The school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, this week was the "most heinous, horrific act," but must not be used to coalesce power to a central federal authority, Rep. Michael Cloud said on Newsmax Saturday.

"Our first priority, from a federal government's perspective, is the keep people free," the Texas Republican said on Newsmax's "America Right Now."

"Throughout history, we've seen tragedies like this used to coalesce power to a central federal authority. I am always going to be cautious."

This congressman from Texas also gets it exactly right. What he told the news person on NewsMax TV was indeed well reasoned and well said. We can’t let them use this tragedy to expand federal power and control at the expense of our personal freedom and individual rights.

 

Keep us free. Limit the power of the federal government to enumerated powers in the constitution. Leave the rest to the states and to the people.

Supreme court justice Alito decided that Abortion shouldn't be a Federal constitutional right and they voted in accordance. Abortions are still going to be allowed, but he thinks it's better to allow the States and the PEOPLE! who live within those states to decide whether or not it's moral to allow Late term abortions or any abortions at all. Nothing wrong with leaving a life or death decision of an innocent unborn baby in the hands of the people of a particular stated to decide. Biological women just need to be more responsible and either take a morning after pill after sex, use Birth control or have the Man use a Condom and in cases of Incest and Rape, go back to the morning after pill instead of waiting to kill that baby after it's become a full fledged viable unborn Human. Liberals act as if there's a difference between a Baby 1 minute before birth and 1 minute after birth and whether or not that determines whether it's life can be ended or not.
