Reparations for Slavery.

The people who would owe them reparations would be the wealthy slave owners. If they hadn't owned the slaves in the first place, those White soldiers wouldn't have had to die to free them.

That's interesting. Most reparation schemes I've read want to government to pay, but you want...who? The descendants of slave owners?

 

your are right..all those slaves that are alive today that were brought here before 1865 should get 100 million dollars each..their heirs were not slaves so they get nothing...nh

I don't think I should pay people for something that happened over 150 years ago. Its still stupid that the blacks are asking for money from the white government that enslaved their people for centuries even before the confederate states of America spilt from the United states of America. Oh but it wasn't just the whites that sold them into slavery it was their own people or the enemy of a tribe in Africa that sold the people he captured to us "white people". Some blacks owned slaves though they are saying that in most historical sites that these folks were mostly family of the people they bought....

Whether blacks sold black or not is irrelevant in the scope that it was whites who first raided west Africa for slaves before any trade began. Stormfront won't tell you that but you learned it here today, ur welcome

The past is past.. It is not possible to change and it is absurd to try and profiting in XXI century... about a institution was abolished 150 years ago...

Most slaves were brought over by Europeans, and then there are the slave traders in Africa, so organizing all the countries that owe and getting them to cough up anything for the pot is going to be tough. The U.S. only had slavery for some 70 years, and then only in a few states not the entire country, versus 120 something for the European powers, and then there are the black slave traders and owners here in the U.S. to sort through. Then we can deduct the costs of the destruction the Civil War and Reconstruction caused, and the reparations already received via Reconstruction, then there are the welfare and education costs already spent to be deducted, medical care, all that.

I come up with black people owing the rest of the country about $5 million each. Adjusted 2015 dollars, of course.
