Collins has previously reported that discussions were being had in the White House over who should "bring the president to terms with reality," suggesting Kushner as well as Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter and also an adviser, were being considered as the person to do so"
I believe that, if anybody can, his daughter can get him to listen. It's a tough pill to swallow and she and Kushner are probably the only people he won't throw out his office or Administration.
Funny because many people here says he doesn't listen to advisors at all. Conflicting views from your side.
My understanding of it is that he doesn't listen to advisors he doesn't agree with. He isn't likely to disregard his own daughter and SIL though. They are probably the only people he wouldn't fire on the spot or push to the point of resigning.
I think the optics is that he looks childish and petty to not concede now but he hasn't cared how things looked since he took office. Since concession is not legally mandated, he can go until the end without conceding. He has every right to make that choice.
Peaceful transition of power ring a bell? If he has a case loke what happened in Florida, so be it, but arguing spectators being 14 ft vs. 6 feet away from counters isn't going to fly. No point in arguing over a few thousand ballots that arrived after election day either.
I hardly think the left will treat him any better if he concedes. He has no reason to, his optics won't change.
Notation doesn't indicate respect. I note that trump said he was going to build a wall and get Mexico to pay for it. I still don't respect him. I note that trump said he was going to come up with the bestest ever cheap healthcare plan. I still don't respect him. I note that trump said he'd be too busy working for the American people to play golf. I still don't respect him. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture?
That is every single president ever to hold office. We could start with Washington if you like? Jefferson is really fun.
I didn't get the impression that it was about the left's treatment. It's more of a sign of respect for the office, itself.
Well, i think claiming the election is rigged and one side is purposely fudging the numbers while ignoring GOP did well in the senatw amd house undermines oir democracy.
I disagree. If there appear to be irregularities they should be investigated and with technology advancing this will probably be the new norm. The election process hasn't been delayed because of it, its just some further verification so when Biden is sworn in there is no doubt whatsoever.
Who said we have respect for that piece of trash? If he said it, he said it. It has nothing to do with respect.
But dems are not claiming vote counters rigged elections. Rather it has to do with technicalities of whether or not ballots should be counted if they did not come with the appropriate envelope.
The Press doesn't vote for the President, the American public does. Every legal vote from those who can vote legally should count. From what has being reported, some of what has happened is very iffy, and should be looked at.
