The Republican Congress is showing themselves to be much too weak to play the hard political game needed right now. Too many swamp creatures in there to be effective. There just isn't enough effort being put forth to oust the old weaklings from their cushy nests. Their backbone is way too soft, and it's bending the wrong way. Hardball is the only way to play against this concerted strategy by the democrats, and these old farts just don't have the balls for it.

Unfortunately they also run the RNC for the most part so getting a concerted effort against them is pretty much impossible.

Have to wait for the to die to replace them more than likely.

If the brain-dead cowards fold here, despicable leftist trash will level false sexual assault allegations on every right-wing nominee and political candidate from now until civil war erupts.

You are correct sir. The strategy of the demolitioncrats has worked, and is working. I think they will continue to throw allegation after allegation as long as these old men allow themselves to be pushed around.

At least there was one beam of common sense light in that hearing, "Thank you Senator Graham!". He quite possibly might have made a difference in the vote.
