If the poverty rate has dropped so much then why the hell is Biden blowing off legitimate debt that students willingly took on themselves?! The answer is pure politics and pandering for votes! This kind of underhanded, devious **** should be illegal, but it has been the primary mechanism that Democrats have used to enrich their positions of power ever since Frankie Roosevelt in the 1930's....

FDR turned a recession into the Great Depression and invented identity politics. WWII which was won by the captains of capitalistic industry that he despised saved his legacy.

The majority of Adults currently living in poverty have a job. Now NOBODY who works should require government assistance just to eat.

Do you really want to solve this problem ? (Serious question)

They did in Georgia during the Senate seat elections, by telling voters that if they didn't vote for Democrats, they wouldn't get their $2,000 stimulus checks.

I frequent a Burger King where they have the kiosk option. It's great and efficient. Easier to customize orders than talk to the distracted High School student who will probably get your order wrong. They still have the same amount of employees; they are busy handling the drive through crowd. You can wait at the counter for a long time with nobody there because they are busy or you can use the convenient kiosk and get eating a lot quicker.

The loans have to be paid back because they are owed to private entities. When the government forgives the loans, they really have to pay them off with borrowed money. In other words, they have to assume the loan. I would have felt better if they would have just made the loans 0% and left the borrowers left with paying back the principle.

Define "work". Prove wealthy people do not work. Does Musk work? Does Trump work? Does Tom Cruise work? Jealousy and envy do not make for proper government policies.

Yes, taxpayers pay off the loans. As is said 'socialism works until you run out of other people's money'.

JFC you made the claim. The idea that someone with money would take out a loan and pay interest on money they already have is beyond ridiculous.

But this is what trumpism is. Just make it up as you go along and then make everyone prove you wrong.

People do it all the time. People have been doing for centuries. That has nothing to do with Trump.

    Your surrender is accepted.

If you had a $100k in the bank, would you finance a $20k car ?

Absolutely. That cash would be my emergency fund. Why would I spend that?

Alternatively I would take out a home equity line of credit and use that to pay off the car and then deduct the interest.

I do, and I have. Why spend $20k on a car and lose making 15-20% when I can borrow that money for 3% continue to pocket the income?

Total nonsense! The Depression was at rock bottom when he was elected. He moved quickly to stabilize the banking system.

When he needed an “Arsenal of Democracy” he turned to William S Knudsen, Donal Douglas, and KT Keller.

IMO, raising the minimum wage is a noble goal that can collectively stimulate economic growth by empowering the productive working class with an influx of capital so long as small businesses are not burdened with paying more than a very low minimum wage. Government at every level should pay for the pay raises for most workers.
