Acquire and possess is found in State Constitutions, not our Second Amendment; keep and bear is not the same nor interchangeable with acquire and possess.

Only the terms, "keep and bear" are specifically enumerated in our Second Amendment, not "acquire and possess".

I guess you missed it the first time; possess is nowhere to be found in our Second Amendment, by Intelligent Design.

I guess you don't have the mental capacity to understand that the supreme court called bull(*)(*)(*)(*) on your argument..........
that is what the second amendment means. you are refuted.

Keep; definition 4a, To retain in one's possession or power.
Bear; under definition 4 as it pertains to bear arms, to carry or possess arms.

Right there in plane print in your own links. Strange tactic, trying to prove me wrong by showing me I'm right... interesting.

That bold word right there illuminates your misguided philosophy on how you think our country works. The government does not grant us privileges, we have rights. The constitution is there to limit the government's powers, not to limit the individual's rights.

A standardized source of the definitions of words is important to understanding anything that is written. The term "possess" is nowhere to be found in our Second Amendment.

If our Founding Fathers meant acquire and possess, they would have specifically enumerated those terms, as they are in State Constitutions.

I subscribe to the federal doctrine, not some "misguided" philosophy.

The dictionary clearly states as it pertains to bear arms means to carry or possess arms, this is a pretty dead argument for you anti gun advocates so just move on(allthough most of you won't because most of you like to beat a dead issue) and I suggest when you pull up quotes from a link you pull up the entire thing, not just the bits and peices that make it look good for you, that's a media move and washes away the little credability you have.

The meaning of the wording used in the second amendmant means to possess, next order of buisness.

You are claiming it based only on "possession" being nine tenths of the law; our Founding Fathers were not dealing with nine tenths of the law when they wrote our supreme law of the land and federal Constitution. For those of your point of view to be more correct, our Second Article of Amendment would need to be a Constitution unto itself.

It can't be "identical" because you are only dealing with nine tenths of the law.

you lost. you are only making yourself look like an idiot by keeping up this game. it doesn't fool anyone.

yet the supreme court says it is. you can pound your head against the wall all you want, but reality, and settled US law will remain unaffected by your stupidity.

How does the special pleading of gun lovers conform to this rule of construction?
