It's been quite a while since I've been on online forums. I value them for the variety of opinions. Started with movie forums, then book forums (Dark Tower and Michael Crichton), Christian forums, political forums (I was here for a while too, can't even remember my username), and atheist forums. I do have some pretty different opinions from the last time I was in a forum (as I was a Christian and had a fundamentalist conservative upbringing). I am now a left leaning atheist, and I try to have nuanced discussions/debates in a way to say, "I'm willing to change my mind if you can compel me to with enough evidence." I'm not into talking in a bubble. Facebook is okay, but it's gotten to the point where people simply don't want to talk about politics and religion. And really that's okay. I'm okay with a place to post about cute animals and wedding pics and expecting mothers. But I miss talking about heavier issues with people who want to talk about them.
Welcome back...you sound like an interesting and capable addition, I look forward to your contributions.
Glad to have you back. You're right about the scarcity of places to discuss volatile historical, political, international & religious issues among individuals. Nobody wants to spoil a great social gathering with a heated political exchange so an anonymous internet forum can be an excellent way to exchange ideas, opinions, beliefs with others. My experience with this forum has been very good & I'm sure yours will be also.
Welcome to the forum.... with a handle like that.... i can't resist giving you a discussion that you may find interesting..... Where did Intelligence begin, in matter or fundamental energy?
