The leader of the most prominent group in the US peddling potentially lethal industrial bleach as a “miracle cure” for coronavirus wrote to Donald Trump at the White House this week.
In his letter, Mark Grenon told Trump that chlorine dioxide – a powerful bleach used in industrial processes such as textile manufacturing that can have fatal side-effects when drunk – is “a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body”. He added that it “can rid the body of Covid-19”.

A few days after Grenon dispatched his letter, Trump went on national TV at his daily coronavirus briefing at the White House on Thursday and promoted the idea that disinfectant could be used as a treatment for the virus. To the astonishment of medical experts, the US president said that disinfectant “knocks it out in a minute. One minute!”

    Wow.:smh:

Some quack sends Trump a letter about the properties of bleach, and then Trump PARROTS it like gospel (at the briefing).

We all know that Trump Parrots Faux News 24/7.

But, isn't it incredible that Trump is so gullible and impressionable as to Parrot this BS?

    Think.

The President must receive dozens if not hundreds of letters a week. These letters are screened. An obvious crank letter like this would not make it past the screeners. Trump never saw this letter, if the letter even exists.

The Guardian has been publishing fake news since the Stalin era.

    see http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles/MuggeridgeLiberal.php
for the history of the Guardian.

There are many things of interest in that link including the observation that liberal intellectuals will believe the most outrageous malarky (hat tip, Biden) if it reinforces their liberal beliefs.
