Rick Perry, an renowned opponant of the Muslim community center that was built near ground zero, which is commonly and wrongly called a masque, has claimed several times that communities should have the power to stop masques from being built. He has went even furthur in claiming that communities that have a christian majority should be allowed to stop any non christian religious buildings from being built. I just find it funny that someone who claims to beleive in freedom of religion would complete contridict himself that openly. He has been asked if he would support the rights of a Muslim or Jewish neighbor to close down and outlaw all Christian churches, and his exact words were, "Christians don't murder people".
