I have heard experts say that without Ohio, Romney (or any Republican) can NOT win. Romney is currently down 5 points in Ohio according to the avg. on RCP. So guess that means we have another 4 years of socialism and will end up bankrupt like Greece and many other countries.
A couple of things. In NO category does b.o. get 50%. In job approval, debt, unemployment, handling the economy, direction of the nation, trust. In NONE does he get 50% For an incumbent, that is very bad. Incumbents do poorly with "undecideds" because those people have had his entire term to decide if they're for him. An incumbent that cannot garner 50% or better in any category will get next to no undecided votes. Plus, in the home stretch, Romney will have more money to spend. b.o. bragged about how much money he raised in 2008 and how much he would raise this time. But it is not coming in and it is going out at a rate faster than Romney. WHY? The real "BIG" money that went to obama in 08, business money, has tired of b.o.'s policies against them.
Going off of the latest poll that matters....... .....not a whole lot of blue to be found in Ohio.....and considering voters overwhelmingly voted against the ObamaCare mandate on the latest Ohio ballot.....I think the pile of Kenyan Excrement better start packing. . .
5 Points THAT'S IT???? 5 Points??? You do know that's close to the margin of error correct? Also as stated above the undecideds will break for the challenger, always do. Also, what poll is that?, is it one that polls more Dems? Sorry but 5 points aint squat!!!!
Romney isn't winning the Buckeye state. Ohio's economy has completely turned around due to the auto bailouts, and most of the state went against Senate Bill 5. Romney opposed the bailout, and supported SB5. It also doesn't help that the conservatives in Ohio are very evangelical, and they don't think highly of Mormonism, or Mormons in general. Finally, the Republican governor contradicts Romney's entire campaign. The Governor is bragging about how many jobs he's created as governor, while Romney is talking about how terrible Ohio's economy is. The two just don't work as a cohesive campaign. He's not winning this state, or the majority of the industrial Midwest. The only state he'll win in the region is Indiana.
Romney leads in Texas by 7. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/tx/texas_romney_vs_obama-1945.html You still don't think 5 points is a lot?
There's no WAY Nashville is a liberal town. Ya right. That map seems a little misleading. But I can guarantee you Knoxville (TN) would be blue, same with the Savannah GA region.
Many people read way too much into the polls. We're a hundred days away from election day. We haven't had a convention, Romney hasn't selected a VP yet, and we haven't had any debates. All three will boost the GOP more than the Dem.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/oh/ohio_romney_vs_obama-1860.html The most recent shows Obama up 8, but Rasmussen has reliably been the best at predicting the outcome. They had Obama up 2 on the 18th.
Jim Cooper (D)........? Is Nashville a little more blue than you thought then? Are you even voting? . .
Romney isn't winning Ohio. He screwed that pooch when he said that Detroit should go bankrupt. Detroit may be Motor City, but Ohio has a huge auto manufacturing base that benefited heavily from the auto bailouts.
Right now Romney and his Super Pac(s) are advertising 3-1 over Obama ads. Romney is trying hard to win the state. Funny thing is everyone I talk to hates both Obama and Romney and say they will either not vote or vote 3rd Party...
Hi Raeka, it's very nice to see you post again. Unfortunately, I fear, it's going that way. Despite my best effort to be optimistic for a Republican win in November, I am increasingly doubtful it will happen. Romney simply can not seem to gather the numbers. Perhaps his VP choice may give a bump, but as things stand today (IMO), a win is not gonna happen. *sigh*
When I think about another 4 years of BO, it depresses me. I have to just ignore this election. I'll vote, but I'm not going to let it get to me. I just don't understand how/why Americans would vote for a socialist. Our country is great because of its achievements as a capitalist society. Thousands of aliens would give their right arm to live here and try to make it rich here like so many have. Yet, these lazy, hand-out socialists, want to make us a socialist society or worse, a marxist society. This country seems doomed because of this ignorant misguided segment of our society.
I could maybe understand why deeply distressed, and discouraged people would be stupid enough to vote for a socialist. But I cannot understand why anyone could be stupid enough to vote for such a complete and total failure as the incompetent clown fool obama has been. His unemployment record. His economic record. His debt record. His deficit record. His legislative record. His legal record. His leadership record. His corruption record. All complete failures. He not only should be fired. We should DEMAND he make restitution of his salary, AND EXPENSES!
Nobody ever won because of the VP pick. It can tip it a bit, but the real race depends on the Presidential candidate. The convention always give each side a bump, but that never lasts. This race is going to depend on the debates...and Obama is a fierce debator. There isn't anybody saying it will be easy for Romney to win. He may...but I think the country will be so numb about political ads, they'll watch the debates in record numbers, and decide then. Especially the swing voters, in swing states. Me.......I don't matter......I'm a California voter, and the election will be over by the time I get off work that day.
Absolutely wrong. You're looking at this from the perspective of a political junky. The average Joe voter only knows about his unemployment record, and some might even know the difference between deficit and debt. Probably less than 5% of the voting public has ever heard that people like you mistakenly think Obama has practiced or espoused socialism
You're the last person who needs to be telling others about sense. I live in Ohio. I have all my life. I have yet to see ANY Romney or Obama signs in people's yards. I talk to a lot of people everywhere I go. They are of respectable statures. I would say in the past 3 months alone I have talked to numerous doctors and lawyers, among plenty of other people I speak to in the course of a day. Not one of those I spoke with said they would vote for either Romney or Obama. They seem pretty (*)(*)(*)(*) sensible to me. They aren't falling for either of those losers bull(*)(*)(*)(*)...
You will find numerous posts of mine saying that the obama campaign consists of, and will continue to consist of lying to the stupid. So Yes I'm well aware that the left is hoping for the vote of the incredibly stupid and misinformed. If it were up to informed intelligent people, the left would just resign and turn it over to reasonable people.
