I have said all along Paul is about a movement not a real candidate to lead that movement. I have said he is TOO Old and not up to the daily grind. read the link. http://www.capitolhillblue.com/node/42726 A tired-looking Ron Paul showed up in South Carolina Sunday after a four-day disappearing act that has some close aides wondering if their candidate is running short on stamina. Paul, the oldest candidate in the GOP presidential sweepstakes, often takes time off between primaries but his latest absence from a key primary campaign leaves some observers and even ardent supporters thinking the candidate needs more than just a few days off.” “Dr. Paul is tired. Campaigning for President is hard work,” says Terry Andrews, a Paul supporter. “But he’s in great shape.” Others aren’t so sure. Paul has shown increasing irritability on the campaign trial recently, snapping at aides, showing flashes of temper with interviewers and telling people to “get out of my way” when the crowds crush in. End ..but not all. So ..with Perry endorsing Newt the liar Gingrich..where do Paul people go IF their guy bows out ? You know it..I know it.. Romney on the economic History. If you think he would ever endorse Newt Gingrich or Santorum you are truly reality challenged. If anything the Romney /Huckabee ticket would destroy any Newt ticket including PALIN. This may be closer to becoming reality than you realize. Paul is about done...
I think you may be underestimating the power of ego. He's never had this much traction before, and I think he will march on as long as the money holds out. Either way, the result will be the same.
If Ron Paul quits, Fed will keep on inflating our economy and things will get worse. Buy gold and silver if Ron Paul quits.
This sounds more like wishful thinking than facts or even rumors. If a crippled and ill 50 year old can become president (and be reelected twice), then there is no reason why a 76 year old man, who is in better shape than 95% of his peers, can't stay in the race.
I dont think this really means anything. Ron paul is always tired looking. The man is almost 150 years old.
Ron Paul's been going back home for a few days after every debate. He's worn out. I wouldn't be surprised if he steps down and boards the mothership for Texas.
The point I wanted to drive home was..where does Paul's support go to ? To Santorum after Santorum rips him at every turn including tonight ? To Newt the insider who is taking control of the tea party he never wanted? What economic theory on private business has Paul spoke about ? The same on that Romney does.. Private companies create jobs and wealth..not Big government. Romney and Paul are the same when it comes to less governmental regulations..Much more so than Newt and Santorum. If Paul people had to vote for one... ROMNEY GINGRICH SANTORUM Where would they place their X next to and hope it finds a way to be counted.
As much as I would like to see Ron Paul get out of the race, I just don't see it happening until after Florida. Ron Paul if nothing else is totally unorthodox so for him to fade out for a few days actually means nothing to me. I do understand it may mean something for those in South Carolina, I think that part is a little over blown. Ron Paul probably won't last much past Florida, he got his message across, and will have a little say so in the convention.
Ron Paul has the second most support, only behind Romney. Why would he bow out now that the field is starting to clear?
Santorum is the last place that I as a Paul supporter would go. He is at least as bad as Obama. He constantly wants to slice the citizenry up into groups and have government treat each differently. Different tax rates for different types of businesses, means testing SS, etc. He should and will drop out before Paul, so this is a non-issue. If Paul dropped out, I would vote for Newt over Romney, but vote for Paul over him in the general if he ran 3rd party. You are obviously very confused. Romney was 2nd worst on my list from the beginning. His plans are convoluted government control dressed up to appeal to "conservatives". He said the tax rate on everyone should be 25%. Really? 1/4? He supports increasing the age of SS eligibility and decreasing the benefits in order to maintain the status quo, AKA kicking the can. If I had to vote for one of those clowns, it would be Newt.
If Paul is not the nominee, I don't see how I could avoid Obama's policies for another 4 years unless I and many others vote 3rd party.
