Yup. When stationed in Texas it would be 35 in the morning and 80 plus in the afternoon. Not unusual. What is unusual is the swing of just a few degrees by the presence of the polar vortex which keeps it below freezing for an extended period. We in the north call their temps a warm spell. But our pipes are buried below the frost line and all gas lines are insulated or have heat tape.

it’s more expensive to live up north in the winter because of adjustments we have to make. In Texas, its much cheaper not to do this stuff.....but when it happens, they’re fked and suffering and dying. Really, it’s their choice from here on out. Vote in science and pay more, or take a chance and face death every few years. We made that decision long ago.

 

Go for it show me the studies from accredited universities and climate research facilities. Cause far right think tanks ARE NOT SCIENCE. I’m waiting. You should have a whole list to countrr 3400 universities who all agree with AGW...still waiting.

Also interesting to note is that virtually everyone on both the Left, Right and Middle wants the things you described. Only, people see differing ways of getting there.
