Just got a word that Russian domestic car production plants are stopping work within the next couple of weeks because of lack of parts - Nissan, Cadillac, and other companies stopped sending them parts.
A lot of Russians are becoming unemployed these days.

I will give him & the other Russian residents one thing - they are at least dealing with some of the consequences of Putin's war. Its the ones who cheerlead from the safety of their western, democratic societies who really make me nauseous. That said, it does please me that their tax dollars are helping Ukraine.

As I said on another thread, we need to remember who took Putin's side in this conflict & define them by it.

Well, they're pretty shameless, so I don't know what you could do to define them that would really matter to them. Seems to be the way of the internet.

In the short and medium term, only Ukraine will come out of this war in worst shape than Russia. But Putin is never going to win this war. He already made the worst tactical choice opting for a land invasion. He compounded it by carrying out that invasion in a way that made no sense, essentially putting the cart in front before the horse. To avoid paying for his mistake immediately, Putin's option is to have Ukraine pay for it, raising the costs and toll of this war on the people in Ukraine.

Moreover, strategically, Putin is quintessentially Russian, which means he is simply on the wrong road with everyone around him also relying on the same faulty road map as well. The main difference between the Westophile opposition to Putin and those around Putin, on the other hand, is that the latter is heading nowhere using detours and airing grievances (real and contrived) about the very place they are aiming to get to anyway, while the Westophile opposition wants to get there using the fastest route available, without the detours or the tantrums, gripes and grievances. Gripes and grievances while negotiating for marginal advantages might even work to your favor, but once you take it to the point where there is nothing left to really negotiate, you better have some other clearly defined options in mind.

I don't care. Never let them forget. Not just the really obvious ones like Bill, Jenny & our Russians. There are a bunch who have come out of the woodwork who might want to forget later on that they chose Putin over civilization. They don't get to.

It's quite something, isn't it? Him and all those that liked his gay anal sex comments...you just have to wonder what is going on in their heads. Judging from the quality of their comments, it is easy to know.

I don't want to know what goes on in the mind of someone who supports acts of mass mass murder perpetrated by a fascist country in a bid to topple its democratic government.

Incidentally, that's like trying to topple a pyramid. That's why Ukraine will never surrender to this murderous terrorist thug. Dictatorships, on the other hand, can be toppled pretty easily because the people living under them generally hate them

    Lets' just get something straight.

You didn't say a damn thing for the last 8 years when the Ukrainian government was shelling the Ukrainian citizens in the Donbass.
You didn't say a damn thing when 14,000+ civilians were killed.
You didn't say a damn thing when the democratically elected President of Ukraine was illegally ousted in the Coup of 2014.

And before you spew the prop, Yanukovych wasn't impeached and removed. A vote was held and they didn't get the 75% they needed to trigger the judicial review, so neither happened. This was an illegal ouster of a constitutionally elected President.

    Furthermore.

You didn't say a damn thing when the illegal government of Ukraine gave Stepan Bandera, a well-known Nazi collaborator, a national holiday; his image on postal stamps; and several newly erected statues.

You didn't say a damn thing about the Ukrainians burned alive in Odessa.
You didn't say a damn thing about the Ukrainians shot down like dogs on the roadside returning to Crimea.

You didn't say a damn thing when the illegal Ukrainian government integrated the Neo-Nazi AZOV group into the official military.

You didn't say a damn thing about Aidir; C14; Right Sektor; or Tornado either. All white nationalists in the Ukrainian military.

I can only surmise that either you approve of genocide and ethnic cleansing of Russians or you don't know the history and reality of the situation.

Either way, you have perfected the art of projection.

You should study up on Igor Kolomoisky, his past, his media companies, the people he made disappear, and his puppet....a guy named Zelensky.

Your comments are down right sad.

And another thing. What do you have to say about Zelensky's peace talks team? Did you know they murdered one of them after he found the terms reasonable?
Yeah, they murdered his ass, like the thugs they are. They are thugs. Kolomoisky controlled ****ing thugs. The war criminal is Zelensky. If we are lucky, he'll snort too much coke before Kolomoisky starts WW3.

If you are Ukrainian, living in Ukraine, your country and its people will end up being the sacrificial lamb in what is ultimately a script where you are the example of the outrage that proves the righteousness of someone else's unrighteous moves. Otherwise. its clear as day: Ukraine's best choice was always to seek to be friends with both Russia and the US/NATO, without in anyway choosing either side but instead benefiting from both.

That's right, but they are controlled by Igor Kolomoisky's thugs. The inner circle of control in Kiev is nothing but a Kolomoisky mafia. Kolomoisky needs a dirt nap, fast. He is trying to start WW3....and the stupid ass US government is doing exactly what he wants.

So this Kolomoisky is starting WW3 and America wants WW3?
    Really?
You know, from the situation of this invasion, that this makes no sense.
If America wants WW3, and to see its cities nuked, then all it has to do is come to the direct aid
(ie boots on the ground, planes in the air) of Ukraine and fight Adolf Putin.

Police brutally beat anti-war protesters in St. Petersburg, Russia

    From CNN's Paul P. Murphy

Anti-war protesters in St. Petersburg, Russia were violently beaten by police Sunday, videos posted to social media show.

CNN has geolocated and verified the authenticity of the videos, which were taken on Sunday evening.

In the clips, protesters are seen walking along Nevsky Avenue in central St. Petersburg. Outside of the Kazan Cathedral, a violent interaction between protesters and police was captured on two of the videos.

One of the videos, which was posted to social media, shows a police officer attempting to detain an individual in the street. When one protester walks up to try to engage in the situation, another police officer appears and shoves that protester on the ground.

Another video, published by Russian news outlet SOTA Vision, shows police attempting to detain a woman on the ground.

In both videos, more protesters walk up and engage the police. Screaming is heard, and the video published by SOTA Vision shows police punching the man shoved on the ground.

In the video posted to social media, it later shows police successfully detaining the woman on the ground while also holding back protesters. Then, a police wagon shows up.

"No to war," protesters shout repeatedly.

CNN has contacted St. Petersburg police to ask about the nature of the arrest and did not receive an immediate response.

On Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs told Russian state news outlet TASS that around 1,500 people “took part in an uncoordinated rally” in St. Petersburg Sunday, and around 750 were detained.

At least 4,640 people were detained in Russia on Sunday in connection with anti-war rallies across the country, according to OVD-Info, an independent human rights monitoring group tracking detentions. More than 13,000 people have been arrested in Russia over anti-war demonstrations since the invasion, the group calculated.

The fascists are cracking down. Glory to the heroes of Russia who stand up to these thugs!

    They'll flip it here.
    They'll flip it there.
    For flipping is their name.

    And what they do
    they'll say it's you
so you can take the blame.
    .
    It fills their need
    and all their greed,
    which is an awful shame.

But that's the way of sociopaths
to them it's but a game.

    > The US Treasury allowed American companies to buy Russian oil through an intermediary bank in a third country that did not join the anti-Russian sanctions. Thus, the dollar payment will go to the bank of the third country, and from there to Russia. Hong Kong traders have already rushed to offer the best conditions. As a result, a buyer from the United States will simply pay more, the Russian Federation will receive funds in full, and some interest will settle in Hong Kong, under the PRC. I think that the team of the US Treasury will be awarded medals and commemorative signs in the Kremlin.

and here it is written that he did not have chemical weapons - only plans for their manufacture.
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/06_10_04_isg.pdf
At the beginning of the war, all chemical and biological weapons programs were curtailed.
I don't know what "yellow rain" people are talking about - I wasn't interested in the details of the war in Iraq. But I believe the reports of the UN in the virtual absence of weapons. I also admit that one test tube is not enough to start a military operation. Therefore, such provocations are not ruled out. And the West loves to play with chemistry and loves provocations...
