Better update your info. That article is from December 2. A lot has turned around for Russia since then.
Now that the Nemtsov Report is out, and the people know that Russia is spending tens of billions to invade another country, it wont be long till there is rioting in Red Square and Putin is begging for mercy at the gallows.
The whole world loves Putin. For example. Victory Day celebrations on May 9 in Vancouver, Canada. And this is understandable. Everyone wants to live in a free country. But not as it is now. For example, again Canada.
what billions?.. as West media stated in previous years Russia was a bankrupt. hope you do understand that even if this scenario happens it would be right-wing extremists coming to power in Russia.
russia is easily the most self sustaining country on earth It's something like 90% self sufficient under the soviets they relied on less than 4% international trade, sanctions only work if your bullying some former british desert colony
When do you think this would happen? Once you have a guess I will wait till nothing happens the time you predict. Any facts revealed by something which is called 'Nemtsov report'? He was never right with the figures once he was alive and I have some doubts that being dead he became any more accurate.
This is why I am most scared of the whole situation. Overall, I truly don't think Putin is the antichrist like many do. Russia is a COMPLETELY different culture. My Russian friends seem to value power above all else, be it strength, money, looks, whatever. I'm watching carefully and I do believe Putin is overextending in Ukraine by a lot. I don't really care all that much except for when "Those that Row" come on this forum and spout Putianity. But what could come after a collapse could be terrifying with all those lose nukes.
Hate - demented former Ukrainian. The descendants of Ukrainian fascists who killed Jews and Poles in Volyn (more than 100 thousand people), the Jews in the "Babi Yar" (also more than 100 thousand people) and so on. Incidentally killed civilians. They - hate. The rest of the Canadians who have a brain - love Putin.
Russia On The Brink Of Collapse The title of this thread would be Hilarious if it were not so Ridiculously outdated Putin has just dragged the American diplomats to Sochi & read them the Riot Act State Department delegation - Kerry, - Nuland, - yellow out & are humiliated As American Machinations & Policy in the Ukraine have seemingly Collapsed – Putin just beat up & humiliated them You won’t find that on FOX or CNN ------------------------------------------ Yet Another Huge Diplomatic Victory for Russia By The Saker - May 13, 2015 "Information Clearing House" - http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article41835.htm Unless you read Russian or monitor the free blogosphere, you might not have noticed this, but something big just happened in Russia: Kerry, Nuland and a large State Department delegation have traveled to Sochi were they met with Foreign Minister Lavrov and then with President Putin. With the latter they spent over 4 hours. Not only that, but Kerry made a few rather interesting remarks, saying that the Minsk-2 Agreement (M2A) was the only way forward and that he would strongly caution Poroshenko against the idea of renewing military operations. To say that this is a stunning development would be an understatement. For One thing, this means that the so-called “isolation of Russia” is now officially over, even for the “Indispensable Empire”. Second, this is, as far as I know, the first official US endorsement of M2A. This is rather humiliating for the US considering that M2A was negotiated without the Americans. Third, for the very first time the US has actually warned the Ukronazi junta against a military attack. This, at a time when the Ukronazis are in a state of bellicose frenzy and Poroshenko just promised to re-conqueor not only the Donetsk Airport, but all of the Donbass and even Crimea, show that for the very first time the US and Kiev are not on the same page. Fourth, the USA has, for the first time, declared that if M2A was implemented, EU and US sanctions would be lifted. Interestingly, the Russians were not even interested in discussing the topic of sanctions. So what does that all mean? At this point, nothing much. Americans are terrible negotiators and in every single US-Russian negotiation over the conflict in the Ukraine the Russians completely out-negotiated their American “geostrategic partners” (the quasi-official ironic Russian term describing the West) every time. What typically happens, is that Kerry caves in, then comes back to Washington and changes his tune by 180 degree. The Russians know that and the Russian media stressed that in its analyses. Still, the USA can zig and then zag as many times as they want, reality does not zag. If anything, the recent presence of Chinese and Indian troops on the Red Square showed that the notion of “isolating Russia” is a non-starter whether Kerry & Co. accept it or not. Then, there was the rather interesting behavior of Nuland, who was with Kerry’s delegation, she refused to speak to the press and left looking rather unhappy Finally, a quick check of the Imperial Mouthpieces reveals that the Imperial Propaganda Department does not really know what to make of it all. So what is going on, really? Honestly, this one is too early to call and, as I said, the chances for yet another US “zag” are very high. Still, what *might* be happening is that the Americans have finally (!) figured out a few basic facts: 1. Russia will not back down 2. Russia is ready for war 3. The Nazi-occupied Ukraine is collapsing 4. Most of the world supports Russia 5. The entire US policy towards Russia has failed All of the above is rather obvious to any halfway competent observer, but for an Administration completely intoxicated with imperial hubris, crass ignorance and denial these are very, very painful realities to catch up with. However, denying them might, at the end of the day, get the USA nuked. As the expression goes, if you head is in the sand, your ass is in the air. Thus it is possible that what just happens is the first sign of a US sobering up and that what Kerry came to explore with Lavrov and Putin is some kind of face saving exit option. If that is so, then this is terminal news for Poroshenko as this means that the US has basically thrown in the towel in utter disgust with the freaks in power in Kiev. Furthermore, this might be a sign that US military analysts have taken a very negative view of the Ukronazi changes of success in their planned “Reconquista” of the Donbass. By going to Russia and officially endorsing M2A Kerry might be sending a message to Poroshenko: forget it, it ain’t happening! Still, I would strongly caution against any premature optimism. I consider a US “zag” a quasi-certitude. My hope is that the “zag” will be limited in magnitude and that when it happens, it will be more about face-saving exit for Obama than about a denial of reality. What is certain though, is that Russia has won yet another battle is this long war and that all the signs are pointing at the inevitable defeat of the Empire. You must love Putin in Russia or you will be killed. It is a return to Stalinism. Your average Russian wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the ass. This article is less than a day old... Russian economy expected to contract in 2016 http://www.wsj.com/articles/russias-economy-to-contract-again-in-2016-ebrd-says-1431594001 Here is an article form April, 2015 Russia's economic outlook worse than thought http://www.wsj.com/articles/russias-economic-outlook-worse-than-thought-world-bank-says-1427883522 Of course the paid Russian shills will spin it...Putin can do no wrong afterall; it's the fault of the "evil" West. Same (*)(*)(*)(*), different day in Moscow.
For me, one of the more interesting aspects to the Sochi meeting with Kerry & co, was the prior visit - 2 days earlier - on 10th May 2015, of Angela Merkel to meet Putin. It seems evident she was paving the way for Kerry. According to an analysis of the Kerry Putin meeting in Sochi in Russia Direct by Nikolai Petro notes that Russia and the US have maintained a secret dialogue since last Autumn, and adds that this very public meeting was the significant issue because Russia has won out on showing the futility of the west's attempts to isolate it - the attendance of premier from China and India at the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII being an obvious choice. And it is the closer cooperation of China, and India too, plus other nations that, in the long term, threaten the interests of the US - along with the difficulties caused in Europe by American meddling in Ukraine.
Are you even remotely serious?! Even before the big Victory Day celebrations in Russia less than a week ago, Vladimir Putin had the approval of 86% of Russians! And, no, this was not the finding of some kiss-ass "news" media poll, like the kind that tells us over and over how much Americans supposedly love Obama. This was the finding of the universally respected, highly-independent Levada Analytical Center: http://www.levada.ru/eng/ . Moreover, according to Forbes, Putin is the most powerful leader in the world, and has been so for the last two years in a row! The more his detractors try to tell us how disastrous and ineffective he is, the more they make themselves out to be ignorant and unintelligent. Within another five years he will have probably forged an alliance with both China and Germany and will effectively dominate everything that occurs in the entire Eastern hemisphere, if not beyond.... "OK, OK! I admit it! He knows more about basketball than I do!"
That's what they're headed for. Fortunately for us, we'll be turning around this socialist crap in this country. This country was built on freedoms and individual achievements and ambition. Socialist newspapers are going broke. Socialist tv news is suffering, while Fox news is no. 1. Rush Limbaugh has the no. 1 talk radio show, and Sean Hannity is no. 2. That's 3 top spots for conservative news. Even Obama is scared. That's why he's criticizing Fox news so heavily. Socialists have had the majority of news outlets, yet conservative ones are leading. Another reason these desperate Russians are frantically flooding websites like this one with Marxist demoralization propaganda. They know they're losing their grip on our country. We do, however have one Russian hero.............Yuri Besmenov. His videos are readily available to inform us of their attempts to take down our existing power structure and replace it with their socialist statist crap. But it won't work here. They'll have to find some other country to exploit.
Unfortunately still many people in the West really hate Russia automatically, even knowing nothing about Russia because for decades there is a paid promotion against Russia.
Meanwhile, Russia is the world's leading oil producer, with Saudi Arabia in second place. People have always been stating that Russia would "collapse". But it never has as a nation. The collapse of the Soviet Union was simply the fall of an empire that contained nations within, and that empire rolled back its borders to a level that was more suitable. We now know that entity as the "Russian Federation". Russia is fine and those nations released on the Soviet collapse are fine. I'd rather live in them than in Africa any day. For example, the backwater of Kazakhstan has higher average internet speeds than the USA. Complain about Russia (and the Saudis) all you like. Quite likely both of them are a great deal of why you even have fuel. And the guy who thinks that the only people who defend Putin are Russians. What a joker. I don't particularly agree with him but modern Russia is far more mature society than your juvenile US. Russia has recovered from socialism while you are at the gates of entering it. Russia is doing remarkably well for a country wedged in between a liberal West, the Islamic world, and China, all of whom pose endless problems to it. I'd like to see how the US fairs if positioned between three hostile powers. You can't even secure your own borders, let alone defeat serious opposition.

The Forbes article is simply amazing. We can understand of "a healthy Russian economy thanks to its low government debt". What about the US? Since Obama took place, the GDP rose up from 68% to 101% in 2014. http://useconomy.about.com/od/usdebtanddeficit/a/National-Debt-by-Year.htm No doubt that the Obama administration is the worst in the US history by taking the nation into a such a calamitous economic situation. Our national debt will never ever take us out of bankruptcy. Russia is told to have recovered in a few months since December 2014, while we keep asking to rise up the debt limit every six months. We better stop looking how other countries are doing and concentrate how we can get out of our disastrous economy.
