Soviet people purged the army, Stalin as usualyy had nothing to do with it.

Is this really a victory? Stalin has sent 20 million soldiers into death. There doctrine consisted of mass attacks with millions of casualties.

In the big infantry battles they did not even use their guns until they have reached bayonet range. Arm in arm and "Urra" screaming they ran closer and closer to a German defense line. German guns, MGs, grenade launchers etc, decimated them, but the others just climbed over the hills of bodies. When they became too few, they stopped the attack and came back next morning with even more soldiers. This is the real WWII. Nothing can be called "Victory" in here.

 

It's much more complicated than that. There is no doubt that many other bastrds took part in these purges. But stalin definitely had sanctioned these actions.
