    The “Deadpool” actor then explained his and Lively’s decision to have an antebellum wedding.

    Ryan Reynolds apologized for his 2012 wedding with Blake Lively at Boone Hall, a former slave plantation, in South Carolina.

    “What we saw at the time was a wedding venue on Pinterest. What we saw after was a place built upon devastating tragedy,” Reynolds admitted.

    “We're ashamed that in the past, we've allowed ourselves to be uninformed about how deeply rooted systemic racism is,” they wrote.

    You wonder why it would matter. He is Canadian and they never had slavery. Growing up in Canada he was probably never educated about US slavery.

    What a whiny virtue signaler Ryan Reynolds is.

    Boone Hall Plantation is stunning.

    It still has some of the original slave cabins. This may come as a surprise to millennials with their shoddy SJW educations, but many of the Boone Hall slaves chose to stay on and become sharecroppers after they were freed, instead of fleeing the perceived horrors of life in the south for the sanctity of life above the Mason Dixon line. Yes, that sentence is dripping with sarcasm ;) But the part about the slaves choosing to stay and become sharecroppers is true.

    Boone Hall has also had a lot of owners over the years, including a foreign prince who raced Thoroughbreds, and a wealthy Canadian guy. I think the current house at Boone Hall was actually built by the Canadian guy. Go figure. Not only is Ryan Reynolds a whiny virtue signaler, he's ignorant about the history of the very plantation he wants to cry and wail about today. How typical :roll:

    If I remember ancient history Cleo was a Greek who had to manage the Egyptian subsidiary which was a Greek owned corporate holding in her role of Queen In Chief. Of course she got diverted into f-Ing got around with that Proto Italian guy Marco Antonio. The Greeks were not good at holding on to their colonies.

    Of course slavery was around in many cultures but because it was around in ancient times that does not justify it later on. It 's like.pedophilia. I am sure that homosexual pedophilia was not invented in San Francisco by the Mambalites. I bet some small tiny number of ancient Egyptians , Greeks, Roman, Hebrews or other ancient bad guys liked to diddle little boys. Does that make it right?
