Obamacare is a go. It's fully funded and that will not change. Even if the GOP gets control of the Senate in 2014, which seems highly unlikely considering their historically-low approval ratings, Obama won't sign any of their proposals. Even if the GOP wins the Senate and WH in 2016, by then there will be millions of Americans benefiting from Obamacare.

So, what is a right winger to do? All they can do is scare people away from signing up.

Some scare tactics from GOP politicians:
    • Scaring college students into going uninsured with creepy "Uncle Sam" ads
    • Claims that the website doesn't work at all (it's glitchy but it works)
    • Claims of death panels (still!)
    • The government shutdown (timed to coincide with the Obamacare rollout)
    • Claims that tax credits won't reduce premiums for the poor (they do)
    • Claims that it's a complex signup (it can take just minutes)
    • Claims that the site is insecure (not one report of hacking so far)
    • Claims that Obamacare reduces jobs (jobs are increasing)
    • Claims that the ACA was illegally passed (it was completely legal)

One reason that the Republican Party now has record-low popularity is because it's focused on destruction rather than creation. There is no way in which the GOP's 'success' in destroying anything is going to make them look good.

Lastly, only 29% of Americans favor a complete Obamacare appeal, according to Gallup. The GOP just needs to let this fight go. But they won't, especially on this site. They'll find some new false claim on some right-wing blog that says something horrific about Obamacare. It will be debunked then they will try again with another fake story...

LOL, its not the right wingers you need to worry about. It's those millions of people who've lost their hc ins after being told by Obama they wouldn't.

Nobody from the GOP needs to do anything. Just sit back and watch it implode.

I don't think you understand WHY those millions of people are losing their hc ins. The insurance companies and their actuaries know down to a gnat's arse where their profitable policies are going to be coming from.

No one is losing their insurance. All of those people will have insurance, they will just have a different policy.

Obamacare will be fine, but ignorant people who hate the President will have plenty of ammunition to bash Obamacare during the process of implementation. They should just be ingnored. Time will make them irrelevant.

Doesnt matter why... they were told, "If you like your current policy, you can keep it."

    Which was a LIE.

This is just another scare tactic -- the kind that is destroying the GOP.

Have Republicans learned nothing from Benghazigate? Americans see Republicans as being scary and out of touch.

You can't possibly blame Obama or Obamacare for private insurance companies cancelling their policies. Obama doesn't have the power to prevent private insurers from cancelling policies.

Except this was predicted would happen back in 08. People ignored it as another "right wing talking point".

The only thing that was ignored were letters from insurance companies reminding people that their policies would end.

Here is an example of such a letter:

No that is not the only thing that was ignored. People were told that Obamacare would have negative effects on doctors and insurance companies. They were told that insurance companies would start dropping people. And lo' and behold here it is. And yet it's republican's fault? Maybe if people were actually interested in making a positive change they would have taken their time to get it right, listened to what people had to say, and not have to bribe members of their own party to push this through then maybe we would have seen something truly bipartisan for the better of America. As it is got passed without people even knowing what was in it. Is that the standard of how laws should be made now?

Obama is a liar. I'm shocked so many still refuse to acknowledge that fact.

lol ahhh the liberal mind. No one is sabotaging Obamacare except for Obama and his minions. If you really wanted to stick ACA up our butts shouldn't you have ensured the website worked and more than 6 people were interested? Nothing of this is on the right. Its complete and utter failure is entirely on you lefties. We told you it wouldn't work, you didn't listen, we told you people would lose their plans and Doctors, you didn't listen. Obama flat out lied to us and said on numerous occasions it was not true. This is such an EPIC FAIL, someone needs a new slang term to describe the worst, humiliating utter failure in a Presidential signature legislation. The guy didn't even check up on the interface, in THREE YEARS! He is the most incompetent President that has ever been elected. Its not even open to debate by any sane person at this point. This is a national disaster that is affecting millions of people. But hey don't worry Im sure millions of previous Obama voters will continue to vote liberals in after they realize how much per month that decision costs them. The way to cure liberalism is to force them to pay for something for once. Its an amazing cure. Sure hmmm the younger generation has healthcare for all, and unicorns graze under lollipop sunshine trees meanwhile they will never be able to afford healthcare and a mortgage.

Remember...good intentions trump all! Unintended consequences are merely a risk of being bold . ...and, oh yes, dont confuse us with 'common sense!'

Obamacare was lacking in common sense, planning, and implementation...so obviously, that makes it the GOP's fault (would like to blame Bush but wore that card out---as in expired)

You must be new here. There are 100+ propaganda threads based on lies about the Obamacare website.

Are you gonna stick with that lie that only 6 people have signed up for Obamacare through the website?

    It's working fine.

This is hilarious. Obamacare is here and it's not going away. You had better sign up soon.

It's not a client glitch. It's a backend component glitch that's the main problem. Obama is not a software engineer.

He got one of the most sweeping pieces of legislation passed in decades in just his first year!

Yeah, like those non $100,000 surgery bills for those with preexisting conditions.

I don't see how that is a lie in any shape, manor, or form. They CAN keep their current policies if the insurance companies make those policies available. As always, that is between the policy holder and the policy writer. Do you really want the government to mandate that the insurance companies maintain the policies they do WANT to maintain? What are you, a socialist?

There is no need to attempt to "sabotage" Obamacare. It will fail on its own. Period.
