    and apparently the key provision was struck down 5-4.

    Interesting. It looks like there will be some revisions to the coverage formula coming soon.

    yep. as far as i understand, the old rules about which states need to get permission are now void, though I found the rationale odd. The rationale was that the data used to determine which states in 1964 is old. it doesn't prohibit these kinds of things in the future.
