You seem very upset that I busted you got not walking the walk with global warming. Truth hurts huh.

All you have is correlation equals causation except that has failed miserably the last decade.

So you admit you do nothing but "believe" and whine online on your fossil fuel created, delivered and powered computer. Just as I suspected.

In other words there is no evidence but the seriousness of the hypothesis demands action. Under that premise we should react to any and all dooms day scenarios. Better safe than sorry.

Sorry but your attempt to equate forign policy with personal beliefs is a massive fail. On the forign policy issue, I went to my generations war when my country called even though I did not agree with that war. Nice try at deflection though. Enjoy warming the planet with any future response.

Nope! You just seem to be too brainwashed to understand what is being said to you. Try reading that post of mine again.

You were trying to push that incredibly idiotic denier cult propaganda meme that tries to pretend that the issue of dealing with the fast developing climate change crisis is all about what the person you are talking to is doing as an individual to shrink their 'carbon footprint', which is totally bogus. While trying to shrink one's own carbon footprint is worthwhile and should be encouraged, those efforts are meaninglessly trivial compared to the magnitude of humanity's total carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels for electricity production and transportation. The only way to deal with that problem is through coordinated government policies and actions worldwide. Almost 200 nations just worked out a pretty good initial agreement to do exactly that. However these kinds of governmental actions and agreements are anathema to you anti-government, anti-science, anti-reality worshipers of unrestrained free market Capitalism, so you reject and deny science for ideological and political and economic reasons that have nothing to do with observed reality and our scientific understanding of what is happening to the Earth's climate.

    Meanwhile, in the real world....

Sea level rise from ocean warming underestimated, scientists say
Thermal expansion of the oceans as they warm is likely to be twice as large as previously thought, according to German researchers

    The Guardian
    Agence-France Presse
    Monday 25 January 2016
The amount of sea level rise that comes from the oceans warming and expanding has been underestimated, and could be about twice as much as previously calculated, German researchers have said.

The findings in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a peer-reviewed US journal, suggest that increasingly severe storm surges could be anticipated as a result.

Sea level can mount due to two factors -- melting ice and the thermal expansion of water as it warms.

Until now, researchers have believed the oceans rose between 0.7 to 1mm per year due to thermal expansion.

But a fresh look at the latest satellite data from 2002 to 2014 shows the seas are expanding about 1.4mm a year, said the study.

"To date, we have underestimated how much the heat-related expansion of the water mass in the oceans contributes to a global rise in sea level," said co-author Jurgen Kusche, a professor at the University of Bonn.

The overall sea level rise rate is about 2.74mm per year, combining both thermal expansion and melting ice.

Sea level rise was also found to vary substantially from place to place, with the rate around the Philippines "five times the global rate."

Meanwhile, sea level on the US west coast is largely stable because there is hardly any ocean warming in that area, said the findings.

The more you reply the more you repeat that you do nothing to save the planet you say is at risk except vote dem and whine online. You even use your fossil fuel powered and built and delivered computer to do it. See the irony here? See why its impossible to take you guys serious?

So, here is the million dollar question. Since warming is supposed to be caused by CO2 and show first in the troposphere where all the surface warming is supposed to come from and all records that measure the troposphere directly like satellites and radiosonde show no warming and the 'surface' dataset shows warming, where is the surface warming coming from?

Since ocean warming is supposed to come from the atmosphere (troposphere again) that shows no warming and warming of the ocean shows warming in lower depths than the surface (Argo shows no warming), where is that warming coming from?

Time to answer and if you know anything about thermodynamics, warming cannot come from a colder area.

That is an intriguing question indeed!

Are you suggesting that the earths core may be heating up somewhat?

I would also love to get your reaction to these impressive statistics that I just read in a related discussion..........

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...t-work-fast-enough-address-wais-collapse.html

A carbon tax will NOT work fast enough to address WAIS collapse.

A tax on carbon will take centuries to address the real issues associated with the impending collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet!

    .....reply #12....

Kind of a useless question since I have shown before that the 'collapse' of the WAIS takes centuries in the first place. The WAIS sub surface erosion is caused by ocean currents of which are still not fully understood but the media and activists blame it all on CO2 warming that is absent in the troposphere that is supposedly driving it.

I have been listening and reading media comments about everything from drought, to too much rain, cooling, warming, just about every event and every comment includes global warming as the cause.

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.~ Adolf Hitler

Now I don't attribute any nefarious intent on the media's part but they, as many are doing are repeating something that cannot be backed up by science but can be backed up by psychological explanations as we are all just human and plagued by human frailties. One of those frailties is to silence opposition. You see this in politics and now you see it in science. Skepticism is an important part of science, in fact, one of the most important. Since politics has infected science, political silencing has corrupted science.

But as you mentioned in another post..... the WAIS is on the Pacific Rim so we could begin now to prepare for its possible rapid collapse because one volcano going off could do in one - five years........ what would take centuries under ordinary conditions?

I believe that we should discuss.... the lowering of ocean levels by 30 cms.....one foot..... to create a buffer zone........... just in case things happen much faster than expected!

    Theoretically.... this is possible!

    http://www.politicalforum.com/opini...eory-modern-world-problems-even-possible.html

Is a Unified Theory of Modern World Problems even possible?

I began to use this phrase about five years ago.

    .......
Was Moses - Moshe a brilliant economist?

Is the following statement one of the most accurate ideas regarding what we human beings are actually capable of IF..............we can actually agree on the need for a particular project?

"And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do." (Genesis 11)
    and on.......

IF...… it is indeed true that human productive capability and ingenuity is pretty much beyond what any economist has been telling us........(assuming that we are basically united in agreement that a certain thing must be done)........... then...… could a better money supply system play a significant role in ushering in a much better world?

    Ecclesiastes 10:19

"A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. "

Could it be possible for money to answer.......ALL modern world problems???????????!

It is a rough estimate that man has contributed to sea level rise by 25% by continuing to pump out ground water. Before 1990 it was not considered to be important because much of the water was actually trap water in reservoirs but since then and with population growth and little new traps, ground water is being used more and more. Saudi Arabia uses ground water to water wheat fields and they are running out.

One thing to consider is the past sea level rises during warm periods. For instance during the last interglacial it is generally agreed that sea level rise reached 6 to 9 meters higher than present and all due to natural variability. The important study now is using past sea level rises to try and figure out sea level rise constraints.

Funny you post this, I was thinking just yesterday how the hell does the arctic warm up if there are no humans living there to spew CO2. So what is causing the feedback in the arctic that is supposedly warming more than any region on the planet as warmers say. Dude, I tell ya, the stupid never stops in here with the libturds and their carbon credit crud.

But to the warmers out there, how is it the arctic is warming more than the rest of the globe if there is no CO2 there?

Too bad you are so very, very ignorant and yet so foolishly sure that you know everything.

Carbon dioxide mixes quickly and thoroughly into the atmosphere, so that CO2 levels are about the same globally.

A fact so basic to atmospheric physics that your ignorance of that fact makes people wonder how you can dare to post so much fraudulent bullcrap about an area of science that you are obviously so completely ignorant and clueless about.

HEY ! I know, if we exaggerate more and more every year, sooner or later everyone will start to believe us, right ?

    That’s the way science works …. isn’t it ?

If you denier cultists get sillier and sillier, and more and more out of touch with reality, and lie through your teeth more and more every year, as you have been doing constantly in the past, pretty soon everyone else who hasn't already noticed, will start to realize what ignorant, brainwashed, anti-science dupes and stooges for the Koch brothers and EXXON you are.....rejecting science for political and ideological reasons that have nothing to do with reality or the scientific facts about the climate change crisis the world is facing.

I thought the oceans eat it.

How is this well mixed? and why isn't CO2 over the arctic?
    Satellite CO2 Image.png

Post up that satellite photo of that well mixed picture of CO2.
