Thanks for posting this, rob - I live in Virginia and this is the first I've heard about this.

A few of my own observations and rhetorical questions:

1) The government, whether it be federal, state or local, has no business snooping around in people's private health matters. Privacy is one of the main reasons why I am opposed to government-run healthcare.

2) If women are concerned about their privacy, and they should be concerned about it, why in the world are they posting that info on the Internet where there is no expectation of privacy from either the government or hackers? That's not smart and prudent at all.

3) Apparently this was legal during the previous Democratic administration, as well, and Virginia Democrats had an opportunity to fix this between 2017 and 2021 when they controlled the General Assembly and the Governor's Mansion. I wonder why they didn't? I wonder why they didn't? It's not like the Commonwealth should have ever had access to this and other private health information.

Consistency is important. If an individual and/or political party isn't consistent in their support of individual freedom, limited government and the right to self-proprietorship and privacy then they really don't support them at all. One of the maddening things about the Republican and Democratic parties is that neither one is consistent about these things, and worse yet, they're both engaged in a race to the bottom that is going to end badly for everyone, except for the politicians who are profiting from it, of course.
