To be kind to the cruel is to be cruel to the kind. The people in MV who called the military to expel 50 brown people in record time shows their hypocrisy. They are the people that are making this invasion a reality, harming their fellow citizens in so many ways and they just don't give a dang when they are not the ones impacted.

Well... they're either "swarming over the border" in an uncontrollable, unlawful chaos, or they aren't. I maintain, along with nearly everyone who is unfortunate enough to live on our border with Mexico today that this is TRUE, even though you maintain it is false, and that I am lying about it. There it is... OWN IT! :nana:

Its not a sanctuary State but there are eight cities in the state that are sanctuary: Amherst, Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Concord, Newton, Northampton, and Somerville.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/sanctuary-cities-massachusetts-migrants-marthas-vineyard/

Stop the chicken dance and goal post dragging. You said US is forbidden to stop them, and it's simply not true. Own your words.

See, again you claim I said something I have not said.

I simply pointed out that you made a claim that is 100% BS, and as opposed to saying you made a mistake, you started this chicken dance and attempts to make it about me, which includes misrepresenting what I have said.

Thank you for posting your link but I disagree with it. The decision that turns the entire commonwealth into a sanctuary state is in no way limited. "Massachusetts court officers do not have the authority to arrest someone suspected of being in the U.S. illegally". If you really want to quibble, you can point out that Mass. is not a state at all (it is a commonwealth), but that misses the point.

Its not a matter of opinion, but whatever makes you happy. You left this out from your quote

Is Massachusetts a ‘Sanctuary State'? It's Complicated
Here's what to know about the relationship between Massachusetts and federal governments when it comes to immigration
But for years, advocates have tried to get a bill that would codify sanctuary status in Massachusetts, and it hasn't passed, despite Democrats, who tend to support sanctuary status more than Republicans, controlling the Legislature.

Also, "There's no specific legal definition for a sanctuary city or state, but broadly, the term refers to municipalities that don't let local law enforcement agents cooperate with federal immigration enforcement in an effort to shield its community of undocumented immigrants from deportation." Already posted top court finding.

And as there is no specific legal definition, we are left with opinions. I think MV is virtue signal central. That they are very much into providing sanctuary to illegals so long as it isn't in their community but someone else's. They are part of the problem. Past due time they started experiencing the harm they are causing 1st hand.

Welcome to the USA! There are many choices of cities who have declared themselves as sanctuaries for immigrants, who welcome you.

While we are processing your application for residency, please choose a city to which you will be transported, free of charge, to begin your new life here.

After you choose, you will be provided with lists of available resources offered by local, state, and federal institutions, that you may take advantage of...

What harm do you think they are feeling? They got their mugs on TV for a day while making DeSantis look like an a**hole.

C'mon, Pro. Don't you imagine that if we could stop them we would...? I'm sure that a lot of frustrated, angry Americans would love to see all these migrant mobs halted right at the border, with no further invasion of our country possible -- but... and this takes me to my biggest 'ass-ache' about Donald Trump! For the sake of national security Trump SHOULD have declared a national emergency and SEALED THE BORDER SHUT TO ALL IMMIGRATION FOR A LENGTHY 'COOLING-OFF' PERIOD, except for absolutely genuine, verifiable, rarely given 'asylum' (or even more rare exceptions made to acquire foreigners with unique skills not available among our population), and only 'asylum' which was properly and legally applied for!

Trump DIDN'T... so, now we get these uncontrolled mobs pouring over the border. OH, it would be POSSIBLE for Geriatric Joe to invoke the same executive power and SEAL THE BORDER SHUT TO ALL IMMIGRATION, but you can bet your last food stamp that he would never, ever do that and totally alienate all his hyperliberal, 'woke', American-hating handlers.

The ones I experienced were likening poor brown people to trash. Other billionaires bemoaned that they have no resources to help poor brown people. Yes, the corporate legacy media is trying their best to spin this against DeSantis but politically? I think these people will be remembered in November as the people that called the military to repel 50 people their class is imposing on others. We'll see.

Find a new meme to slam me with, Pro... this one's run past its expiration date. But, do tell me this -- if YOU think it's so very easy to halt hordes of uncontrolled migrants at our border, then why do YOU think no one has accomplished this?

BTW, if YOU'D like to do a 'chicken dance', wear a Bavarian costume... it looks better that way.

The bottom line is that if you live in a non-border state, and you support Biden border policy, you are obligated to accept your share of immigrants without complaint. You cannot expect the border states to do it all for you. And, the more affluent your community is, the more resources your community should devote to carrying out the Biden border policy that you support.

These blue states and cities, rather than complaining, should be calling up the governors of Texas and other border states and volunteering to receive as many immigrants as they can send. That’s what they should be doing. The uncontrolled influx of immigrants is their policy, after all.

    You were there?

Who? DeSantis is spending other people's money for these stunts.

No spin needed. He made himself look like an ass, especially now that he was caught lying.

The Governor, who is Republican, found a suitable place for them 10 miles away. Maybe he will be remembered for it. I don't know, but it seems like a common sense thing to do. Is he up for re-election?

Get over it already. You made a mistake. Its not the end of the world.

We likely get our media from different circles. In mine, they're calling what DeSantos did a political kill shot. I know of no "lies" in this case, just media spin (ie DeSantos should go to jail for kidnapping!!!) and such.
And MV residents were exposed for what they are: some of the most harmful people in our society with rules for thee but not for me.

    The impact? Time will tell.

So, you had no solution to the migrant inundation? Stunner!

At least I offered one that was guaranteed to work, but nobody from Trump to Biden has been willing to do it. So, we'll continue drowning in migrants, whether you're aware of it or not. And, I'm done with your pathetic 'one-liners' that say nothing and go nowhere....

I don't do mass media, especially the kind which would praise a politician for doing a "kill job". That shows severs bias right there. Yea, the migrants were lied to in order to get them on the plane (promised all kinds of things which were never available for them), and DeSantis lied to Florida citizens when he made it sound like they were being removed from Florida when they were flown from Texas. Why do Florida taxpayers have to pay $615 000 to serve Texas taxpayers?

That makes no sense, so I assume its a line from your media source.

    Yes.

DeSantis is preparing another shipment of migrants and again from Texas (not Florida) and on Florida taxpayer dime. No doubt these will also cost Floridians $12 000 per head. What a ******.

OMG. Chicken dance continues. Take a break. Smoke a bowl or whatever gets you through the day.

Literal billionaires live in MV. Given the rhetoric, DeSantis and company could truly think it possible these 50 people would be in the lap of luxury once there. Totally up to MV to live up to their rep. They did. It just wasn't the right one.

As they do in South Florida too. And?

If that is what he thinks, then he is even more stupid than I thought, and if you believe that is the way it works, then why don't you pack your things and plant yourself on a street corner in Indian Creek Island in Miami. You'll be in 'lap of luxury', - you know, because rich people live the neighborhood.

and if Florida has been handling their share of millions of such persons, you'd think MV could handle 50. Not 50,000. Or 5,000. Or even 500. 50.

We could literally fix this issue overnight.

Press Release INS. An employer with an undocumented person in their employ will be fined $100,000, per day, per employee.

Watch those jobs dry up. Americans can flock to the fields to pick tomatoes for $15/day.
