Shy Trump Voters?

Why do they exist? The only reason I can think of to not tell someone who you are voting for is you are ashamed of your vote. Is that really the case?

I don't recall there being shy Bush voters. Or shy Reagan voters. This seems to be something limited to Trump. And I think it's the reason why pollsters struggled a bit. But still, why so shy guys?

 

Have you not seen the news lately of people being assaulted for simply wearing a maga hate. It's not about embarrassment, it's about progressives being low IQ animals who attack people who vote for someone the don't like. I don't know about you, but I don't go around looking for confrontation. I quietly go to the ballot box and make my voice heard there. Though that system seems to be in jeopardy after this last election. Maybe I'll have to just go around defending myself from violent progressives and triggering them constantly with my different, often contrarian, opinion. That doesn't even mention employers and other organizations who may monitor your social media posts and decide "you don't fit in here anymore"

 

I saw one story where someone got into an argument and their hat got taken during the argument and then thrown on the ground. Why would that stop someone on the phone with a pollster from saying who they voted for? Why would you feel any safer going to a polling place where someone could see your vote and know than an anonymous person on a phone who doesn't even have your specific address. The people at the polling places have it.

Besides, you Trump supporters have all the guns remember? What's to fear? Just shoot them all when they come for our hats.

If this is your actual reason, so be it, but it's beyond weak to me. I mean, imagine what black people went through openly supporting black candidates in southern states in this country. They took more than your hat off for that. And yet, many were willing to stand up to it. I find it odd you aren't willing to stand up proudly even if there is very minor risk to your hat being stolen.

 

Oh, I dont know.....Maybe because the left is so very "tolerant"?

Yep it's a fear thing. I don't want to be followed into a restaurant and harassed. Some girl in Oregon had her hair lit on fire for wearing a Trump hat. Liberals are just Savages now.

 

Which has nothing to do with polling data, which is what the OP was referring to. Polling is typically done over the phone so not much of a chance of Trump supporters getting assaulted.

 

Know the ironic thing? America would have to "build back better" Had Trump won, after the left got done "burning it down" nationwide.

Probably, anyone holding a Trump sign is a target for the left. They don't verify before unleashing their hate.

I would NEVER tell anybody any information over the telephone no matter who they are or claim to be. I don't trust people enough anymore to even consider the idea. Unless I know you and can recognize your voice over the phone, you will get NO information from me.

Facebook is literally a liberal echo chamber now. Posting any favorable link or a comment about Trump generally leads to some nasty results.
Most people just choose to spare selves from arguing with friends, which sometimes can lead to direct insults, and just voice their opinions on forums like this.

 

No he only mentioned the polls. He was asking why Trump voters are shy in general. I personally never receive calls to be polled so does that mean that I'm shy or that I have never been polled? Or maybe Trump voters are too busy working jobs to be polled. I don't know. Interpret it however fits your narrative. That's all people do anyways

 

I guess I didn't realize you were only talking about polls. Why do you think people would be shy at polls? Doesn't make sense does it? Seems to make more sense that they aren't being polled doesn't it? I'll ask you the same question I asked eca. I didn't get polled, does that mean I'm shy? What does that tell you about polling companies?

When people know they are doing something wrong they tend to hide it. It is just human nature if you are otherwise a decent person.

But we all know that you can't put a high value on things like integrity and also support trump. Clearly character means nothing to most of his supporters. So in most cases, I would expect they are being devious and deceptive before I would assume they are shy.
