Call Desantis & you can have all of the above. No priest required, despite the straw man you've deployed to argue otherwise.

I certainly believe DeSantis can fill the bill. I'm hoping to vote for him. But you were just denigrating Trump about his personal life. THAT was the issue, not DeSantis. I just said Trump kept my family safe and prosperous and his private life was his own business. Personally, I think Trump is abit old and hope DeSantis gets the nomination. But if Trump somehow gets the nomination, I'll vote for him.

Just because a politician gave someone an endorsement does not mean that the person who received the endorsement is their "political slave" for life.

The Bush family got the higher honors a political party could give them. They got two vice presidential nominations and four presidential nominations. Yet they thumbed their noses at the Republican Party and endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Catching some flak, must be over the target. Interesting how trumpsters never get their knickers in a twist when I slam Slick Willie for the very same reasons. If cult members didn't have double standards, they'd have none at all.

Trying to stop democracy is not a fight I want good Americans a part of.
He's a disgrace to good Americans.

Time for you to consult a mirror. I was responding to your fellow cultist's op, weeping & wailing how Desantis is stabbing your beloved Dear Leader in the back, by presuming to run for POTUS. Do try to keep up.

I don't see that. DeSantis is just running for President. Trump is a competitor. They are just competing... and may the best man win!
I do wish they'd both just win on the issues rather than attacking each other... but I guess that's not the way to win in 2024.

So you are 2 for 2 in selecting a “fake executive” so you want to make it 3 for 3

I keep asking what it will take for Republicans to realize what they keep voting for is the problem but I don’t know if that will ever come

Trump sets the tone. He spends most of his time time attacking and belittling his political opponents with negative ads and touting them with insulting nicknames. I’m sick of it. It’s one of the reasons why he is at the bottom of my list of acceptable Republican presidential candidates.

Trump needs to talk about the issues and do some bragging about what went right when he was president.

It just comes down to judging by different standards. You're willing to overlook character, which is partly why Trump is still a valid choice for you. Others refuse to put the blinders on for the stuff that they don't like just to make him more palatable.

Policy is actually a minority when it comes to how much time a president spends doing stuff. His position is far more about tone and symbolism than actual policy, and that's where Trump fails in a big way. Any Republican president can sign a bill you like, all you need to do that is a pen, a hand, and a beating heart. Far fewer men are up to the responsibilities of the rest of the job. Is DeSantis? I don't know. But Trump has already proven beyond any doubt that he isn't.

There are not 300 million candidates for President. Out of the declared candidates, Trump is the only one fighting against the corruption/fraud of the Uniparty. The rest of them are all part of the Uniparty club.

Under the prior Florida law (before it was changed special for him), he doesn't run for President. He serves his term as Governor, as he was elected to do, and then AFTER he's DONE being Governor, he runs for President. That was the intention of that Florida law (for Governors to actually BE Governors during their term).

I'm being very real right now.

Trump was President of US for 4 years. He didn’t clean corruption then , what made you think he will clean corruption if he is President next time?

Ummmm, my OP is talking about his PRIMARY race (of which he eventually crushed Putnam by a 20% margin after trailing him by a wide margin before Trump's endorsement), not his GENERAL race (of which he eventually won against Gillum by a fraction of a percent). Those are two completely different races. Trump's endorsement was in the primary race (for DeSantis to beat Putnam). At least try to talk about the same thing that I'm talking about.

Actually, it's verifiable truth. You can look at how far ahead Putnam was vs DeSantis immediately before Trump's endorsement and then see the immediate boost in DeSasntis's polling numbers after Trump's endorsement as well as how much DeSantis went on to win the primary by because of it.

Again, I'm not talking about his re-election race... I'm talking about his primary race before becoming Governor the first time.

DeSantis's landslide victory (for re-election as Governor) had to do with the coalition of MAGA voters that TRUMP built in 2015/2016 (in FL, that's hispanics and the working class in general). They voted for DeSantis in such overwhelming numbers (still not as high as their numbers for Trump btw) because DeSantis was perceived to be MAGA. Nowadays, that perception is gone. They are now pissed off at DeSantis for running against Trump... so much that DeSantis is currently too scared to hold any public event in Florida.

    Quite the opposite, actually.

    Quite the opposite, actually.

    About what??

The lies about DeSantis's record are coming from DeSantis and DeSimps, not from Trump and MAGA. For example, he's completely rewritten history via his COVID policies in order to pretend that he didn't do any shutdowns (a verifiable lie).

Yes, a lot of people have moved to Florida recently.

So you are admitting that the corruption is so bad that Trump will not be able to fix it even if he is re-elected just like he couldn’t fix it when he was President.

Having been impeached twice, TFG would seem to be a corruption leader. Given the number of corruption scandals in the executive branch, he brought quite a bit of the swamp with him.

None of that touches his post-election shenanigans: Jan. 6, the Daniels affair, the documents case and his attempt to coerce the GA Sec. of State to change the vote count. Jeezly Crow, the guy's a one man banana republic. Khaddafi would be proud.

All I want from a President is to keep my family safe and prosperous. His private life is none of my business. The laws he signs matter. His Executive Orders matter. ho he goes to bed with has absolutely no effect on me or my family at all. If I want moral guidance, I'll call a priest. If I want lower gas prices and a secure border, I'll call Trump.
